Last week my swing style just stopped working and I am headed for demotion only shooting -4 or so in tournament rounds. I have what I call the "Let Off" swing. I pull the control stick back and then slam it forward at the end of its travel; I actually don't touch the control stick during the downswing. The swing graph shows a sharp right or left turn halfway through the swing. Up until 2 weeks ago I shot -30 or so in CC-E doing this. Now almost all my shots are fast or slow swings, or putt lip outs. This swing is a carry over from the times before the tempo swing and I've never really figured how to replace it.

Have you tried to follow your downswing with your tumb? This can create issues to obtain a straight line, but it could allows you to have a good tempo with some consistence more easily.
Or at least, if you think is something wrong with your controller, you could recalibrate it (i do it sometimes on my pc, i don't know if is possible to do it on PS4 or XBox, but i suppose is possible). It happens this solve lot of issues.

I am a little confused on what you mean when you say "I actually don't touch the control stick during the downswing". So I can't really comment on that. I will say however I have noticed recent tempo fluctuations in my swing as well. I have never had a problem with tempo until playing online tournaments. I think maybe the server gets a bit overwhelmed from time to time. Also if your playing with ghost I've noticed a huge increase in tempo fluctuations, for this reason I no longer play with them unfortunately. |

I pull back the stick fully and then flick it forward. I have no idea what will happen on my downswing and many times it is a fast swing. I am at the mercy of how my controller is reading this on a given day. I am about to get demoted because of this right now. |
