Just wondering, does anyone else play Magic?
I love turn based strategy games of all sorts. I've played Magic since the 90's, I love the game.
I have 1000's of the cards, but never really paid too much for them. I used to buy the booster packs (and still occasionally do just for fun) but only when I had $3 extra to spend on them. Most of my boxes of commons were given to me.
Now, I just play online, on Magic the Gathering:Arena.. Honestly, if you played the real card game, but have not tried this, its pretty close to what it was like playing the real thing. It updates today with the new 'Godzilla set' and one of the things that is going in is booster drafts that actually use real people competing, instead of bots , for the actual draft.
Again, in Arena, I have tons of cards, and I HAVE NOT PAID A CENT. Not that its bad to pay for cards, the company has to make money to stay in business.
I'm just saying, that many people will look up decks online, and think they have to pay for cards and buy them to get a winning deck. pay to win, they say. Not me. I say those people are just lazy. I can take free, common cards, and make a deck and win easily. It just takes using your brain, patience, and strategy.
Anyone else play?
