Love to grill been at it for a while but my specialty is spicy grilled chicken. Make ya sweat a little but not crazy hot. Covid has actually made my favorite hot BBQ sauce disappear which is odd because it's not that popular . Guessing company is shut down or something. Not much of a cook but can do a pretty good homemade meatballs and sauce. Don't do the sauce part that often because of time so I use Rao's Arrabbiata hot tomato sauce which is very good.

Nice grill marks. Next weekend I'm going to attempt pulled pork for the first time

I have not broke out the grill yet, as its been too cold, and I usually don't get it out and clean it up till around May.
I had a garden for a long time, and yes, I agree, things you grow taste much better than things you buy. It finally got to be more work than I wanted to do, as I got older.
Nowadays, I only grow berries. I have a huge blackberry field, that I keep as blackberries only, so we have them fresh every year, and I have 5 blueberry bushes that I planted about 5 yrs ago, so they are just now getting to the point of producing well. But my mom who lives close has always had blueberries, so we've had them fresh every year for as long as I can remember. I also have plum trees but the birds usually get more of them than I do. A neighbor down the road has bees, (we used to when I was growing up, my dad kept them), so I have local honey too.
As for cooking, my wife is our main cook, and she is very good at it. One thing I love, is that she can make anything a restaurant makes, and make it taste the same or better. So when we do go out, she pays attention to what I get and like, and lo and behold a month or two later, I have something that tastes/looks like Outback or Chili's but its homemade!
