Mike: I do not yet know the answer to your issue, but I can see already that you will have a problem doing a lidar version of this course because as far as I can tell, the .LAZ files available do not cover the whole course. I post the footprints of the four files which have some course feature below and it looks to me like a good portion of at least three holes is not covered by Lidar. This is weird to me because I have not previously seen such non-overlapping data files. I wonder what you are going to do about the missing data?

Thanks for the quick look. That is strange, I thought I loaded 7 LAZ files into the Google Drive. There should have been 7 LAZ and 7 xml files in there. Not sure if that is going to cause headaches when trying to decipher the EPSG? And I know that land is included because I recognize the topography and bunkers for #7 which is the very top hole. That is included in the TGC Designer when I loaded just the LIDAR with no overlay.

I did not mess with the files you had on the drive as i did not have a way to see their footprints. The ones I show are ones that are downloadable from The National Map, which did not show seven. As for the EPSG problem, if you cannot find a number that works on Spatial Reference I do not know what you can do. Have you tried to find another course near Purisima and see if you can find an EPSG for that?

Thanks. I got mine from the National Map and I just drew a much bigger square than was necessary. I was hoping that someone with more experience could decipher the xml and the 40-some codes from the spatial reference site or that I was just making a mistake with Chad's tool. I haven't tried another course, so I'll give that a try. I know there are a couple. I'm going to be super disappointed if I can't find one that works. Is that possible? With all of the work done is it possible that there isn't a code that works?
