Finally got a round in on this one. Nice course! Not much feedback I could give you because you seem to have the basics down. Couple things to watch out for would be your splines (could use a little smoothing especially where they meet the greens), you're landing areas were a bit tight (they were amplified by some steep runoffs), and your sightlines (too many times you blocked a good visual with planting or unnecessary mounding between tee and fairway). And one thing I noticed was the dark band around the fairway bunkers, where the fairway runs into the bunker. I don't know if you used splines or brushes, but something went goofy there and I can't tell what it was. I'm gonna page golfwolfuk on this one because I know he's done it without getting that auto rough around the bunker. It's something to do with splines vs. brushes. Anyway, course was fun and glad I finally got to it. Enjoyed all the elevation changes. Really liked the planting. Thought a lot of your holes had good strategy involved. Saw it had over 100 plays so thought I'd get in here and give this thread a bump. Maybe a more experienced designer would want to give this one a go and add to the feedback. Maybe even some guy with a weekly twitch show where they play newer courses would be interested. Know anyone, mayday_golf83?

15eicheltower9 Thanks for the feedback! I am glad you enjoyed the course, and hope others do as well. It was unfortunately not an approved course, I think primarily because of the overuse of bunkers off the tee. I found this forum after doing that course, and have learned a lot since. I relied heavily on bunkers to challenge the drive, and need to use other creative ways to keep the tee shots interesting, and provide alternatives. Yes, I have also learned a lot about sculpting for views from the tee and on the course. I have been working a lot on that for my second course. I think my bunker issue was due to to brushes in the fairway. I have found that using the spline of the fairway to work around the bunker takes care of that. I have watched a lot of play-throughs on YouTube, and my course does not even compare to them, but if someone wanted to take the time to offer a play-through I would love to see it. Thanks again for your feedback!
