So I've played Black Salt Valley, The Champions Course @ PM, Tasatsuyagi Park today via Twitch (feel free to check the streams at SpinMaestroGaming).
Black Salt Valley:
Very nicely designed, tested all 4 pin sets with default conditions. Very strategically minded and long enough to cause some big problems if you get your approach shot wrong. Aggressive play (firing at the flags) is NOT advised, think about using the ridges and rough if necessary to manoeuvre your ball as close as possible. Green slopes are very challenging and rightly punishing if you go out of position, several times I was left with 80ft or more putts due to misjudging the run of the slopes. Bring your A++ game to do well round here!
Difficulty: 10/10
Tasatsuyagi Park:
Really enjoyed this one, not nearly as difficult as Black Salt Valley but the elevation changes and subtle slopes can definitely cause issues if you don't pay attention.
Difficulty: 7/10
The Champion's Course @ PM
I really enjoyed this course, to look at it it doesn't seem that tough but it's certainly long enough and slopey enough to cause significant issues if you're not spot on with all shots. Has a slight Harbour Town GC feel to it and I did struggle here finishing +3 over 18 holes.
Difficulty: 9/10

Conservatory West
Doesn't look like a particularly difficult course at first but the combination of long (470+yd) par 4s and subtle but well placed slopes on greens makes this a potentially formidable track. Ended up even par here mainly because it was very tricky to get the shots into the green within 30 feet unless I was chipping. Excellent design, kudos to the designer.
Difficulty: 9.5/10
Emberton Isle
Very nice track but not the most testing of courses. Had a relatively easy round finishing at 9 under. Was very pleasant to play and looked stunning for a links course.
Difficulty: 5/10

Cheers for the feedback on your playthrough. The course itself was designed to play as a links should with fast & firm conditions and High Winds. If you shot -9 with those conditions then I take my hat off to you ππ

All I did was change to the longest tee set if there were multiple options.

Tyro Albus GC
Well....I think the best way to describe my round here is brutal.
This course felt even more punishing than Black Salt Valley. Playing into greens was tricky to say the least, very well defended greens with clusters of bunkers, aggressive slopes on the green itself and often steep elevation changes will potentially cripple your scorecard if you aren't on top form with your approach play.
Great challenge however, even after a round of +7.
Difficulty: 10/10

I need to crack on and get some done! π
