Hi TGC,
Although I have played TGC 2019 on PS4 quite a bit, I'm new to this community and I just discovered it today. I found it because I begin searching online for resources to build the Lidar version of the best course that I have personally played in real life - which is Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
I'm not sure if there is a proper approach to requesting a course be developed, or if there is a thread specific for such requests, but if not I'd like to get some insight on the possibility of an experienced designer creating the course. So far the thing my research has led me to is this forum and that Lidar courses cannot be created in PS4.
A little about the course: Mauna Kea has been referred to as the Pebble Beach of Hawaii, and was developed by Robert Trent Jones in 1964. It is consistently considered one of the top courses in Hawaii and one of the Top 50 courses that the public can play in the United States.
If anyone can help out with this build or give me any insight on how to make this happen, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

JJ I have not personally investigated Mauna Kea so I do not know for certain, but I have wanted to do Lidar versions of other Hawaiian courses (Ko'oalu and others) but have found that Lidar data is very spotty in the state, even on Oahu. That is probably why no one has done Mauna Kea. Also, as you have figured out, you can only do Lidar designing on PC because you need to use "Chads's tool" to put the Lidar into the TGC2019 designer and import the course plot from Open Street Map.

First of, the lidar data is not covering all of the courses on Hawaiian islands - so for example both Mauna Kea and the Kapalua plantation course is not totaly covered. Second, the data quality is really bad. So for a course that has good coverage - Waialea - the data is so bad that you rather should do with no data at this point. Remeber that the collection of lidar data isn't done so that golf nerds like us can create courses in a golf game.

Thanks for the responses. Although disappointing, completely understandable.
Hopefully in the future the data could be good enough to develop it.
