I am curious on which controller stick people are using for swinging. I play on Xbox and all golf games before this, I used the left stick. On this one, I use the right stick. I find I am more consistent using the right stick.

I'm right-handed but I use the left stick with my left thumb. This comes from playing so many shooters and other games where the "movement" stick is the left stick. I played TW this way too.

I see a lot of people using this rationale for using the left stick. But movement is arbitrary in shooters. Aiming is the right stick and that needs to be far more precise than movement.
Hence I use right stick with right thumb

Hence I use right stick with right thumb We don't aim with the sticks while shooting in this game. The aim is pre-set by where we put the aim circle before we swing.

my point was that aiming in a shooter requires a lot more precision than movement does. as does a swing in tgc.
movement in most shooters is holding one direction for a period of time while the right stick does all the work. hence why i would have thought that people that play shooters would be better off using the right stick.

At least we can all agree that either stick isn't as good as using a mouse ๐๐

At least we can all agree that either stick isn't as good as using a mouse ๐๐ Full disclosure, I use no sticks or thumbs when using a mouse. Just right index finger when making my swing. Right thumb comes into play only when selecting shot type. Right bird does some other things, usually post swing But oh man if I had to play the game with mouse in left hand....that could be hilarious.

What are you saying, that my reason for why i use the left stick is wrong? Lol. That's kind of funny.
