I just noticed this week at least that the CC tours are not playing from the tips. Why? What is the point of not having every tour play from the tips? Wouldn't we rather have -30 to -40 than scores in the -50s? I practiced this weeks tournament from the tips and when I played the real tournament, I noticed holes were much shorter... and I ended up shooting -15,-14,-14,-9 (master).

The schedulers set the courses up so that they are as fair as possible for BOTH pro and master club users. Therefore sometimes, it is felt that the fairest conditions are from slightly shorter tees.

Ah, that makes sense. So people with PRO Sticks can reach places MASTERS can? but... isn't that kinda the risk and reward of using masters?

In my opinion, we should play from the tips. I think that would encourage players to start playing master clubs.

The CC flights are for both Master and Pro club users, some weeks the course will suit Master clubs other weeks they'll suit Pro clubs. There seems to be an opinion that the flights should be tailored to suit Master clubs more. We make our choices of which club set we use and we should accept that others will enjoy playing with their preferred set.

Also, CC-Am is what the Beginner club Tour uses, so that also has to be weighed as well.

I think the right yardage for CC-Pro events is 7000 - 7200 so that the Pro Club players have a trade off when choosing to play Pro clubs. 6800 is way too short.
