Welcome one and all to the CUCC Ryder Cup, proudly sponsored by Dragon Betting. As this is our first major sponsored sporting event, we are creating a fun league for all players to compete in the inaugural
Fantasy CUCC Ryder Cup Tournament
Should you wish to enter, you will be given £1000 of free fun money (or whatever currency you would like to choose) to place bets over the CUCC Ryder Cup matches.
All you need to is to say the following
• Match Number (1-6)
• Result (Euro Win, Half, USA Win)
• How much you are betting
e.g.
Match 1
EURO WIN
£150
Match 2
USA WIN
£100
Place your bets for all matches, and when they have all been completed I will collate everything and tell you how much you now have to bet on the Foursomes and then for the singles. Please don't forget, once all the money has gone, its gone, so bet wisely.
Here are the betting odds for the Fourballs, both in fraction format (UK and Europe method) and American format (for you people across the pond).
After all Fourball matches have been completed, I will post the odds for the Foursomes matches as well as links to the data sheet with everyone’s bets on.

Just like in real life, I never bet against my own teams. This is why I am poor.
Match 1: EURO win £300
Match 3: HALF £50
Match 5: EURO win £100
Great idea but it could be a lot of work! Do we get to use any winnings to bet on the next round or do we have to spend all 1000 monkey dollars before it starts? This may change the amounts I've just bet.

You all start with 1000, this is your starting amount for all the Ryder Cup, so if you end 300 up, you will have 1300 for the next fixtures. |

I have a starting point for a spreadsheet as I made one for work ( I work in a high school) which was showing probability and betting on greyhound races, technically probability not really betting 😊😊 It was done for fun so starting it all from scratch wasn't too bad, all the donkey work is done via formulas, so now just need to put in gamblers name, betting amount and who they've picked. Hardest part was probably making up the odds and not upsetting too many people, I roughly went on who was based in a higher tiered group, i.e. If both players were on the PGA Tour and their opponents were in CC-C and E, I would have the players from the PGA as the favourites for that match. |

Lol, that's why me and Hootbleet are favourites then, I did wonder. If Griffin actually played the tours he'd easily be PGA, that's why they're all throwing their money on them in Match 4. I'm hoping to make the bookies rich in that one.... |
