Played this last night. Awesome job man. I think you really accomplished what you were going for. I think the greens (which was one of my larger complaints) played much better. Very hard but essentially didn't punish good shots (maybeeeee hole 9 pin 3 could be a tad tamer lol). But the one thing I really noticed was your sightlines. All the holes looked really good off the tee and also on your approach shots as well.
I thought this was really well done. I'll be playing again since I think every shot I had was Fast-Fast and shot a +6 or something like that lol

So that's actually the fixed version lol. Thanks for the play and the comments on my beta. I changed up some of the fairway bunkers on your advice and they looked way better. Also my intent was to slow the greens down but decided if someone wanted to they could on there own. I haven't been able to break par but still feel it's fair.

This one's up for a possible PGA spot! So you should go play it now! Can't wait for the backlash!
So now I'm just anxiously waiting for the list of pins I have to fix. 😜

Nice course. Good work. I shot -9 from back tees on pin 2. I played v2 and still saw some illegal pins.

Nice course. Good work. I shot -9 from back tees on pin 2. I played v2 and still saw some illegal pins. Thanks for the play. I think there's about 3 pins on each pin set yet that need some attention. I figured there would be. When you have them right on the edge it's a crapshoot when you hit publish. And nice round. That might be right near the course record right now.

Finally got around to playng this and really enjoyed it. Congrats on the publish and it's a clear progression from rookie - well done! I particularly liked the sightlines off every tee and the hazard placement, both of which are a real step up and I've no doubt will continue to get even better. I know you're looking for feedback ahead of CC and had a ton from me from the beta, but I thought I'd jot down a few thoughts of things that crossed my mind: - Be mindful of shadows on the green - the odd one is fine, but it can make putts really tough to read due to the beads. - I liked a lot of the planting, but would strongly recommend more sunken trees for ground cover to avoid some of the emptiness. - I know you're continuing to work on your bunker sculpting - keep looking to make sure each has a clear low side rather than just dipping in the middle like a bath tub (3rd hole was the one that stood out here for me). Go to any MattF course and zoom about to see the high vs. low side stuff. He tends to use a few bunkers. - IMO, driveable par four 4th gave me too little reason not to go for it. Same to an extent with 6. Missing in the heavy rough low left is actually a great play. It's hard to make driveable fours really punitive without either tricking up the green, adding water or OB - perhaps consider those for future? - 6th maybe a missed opp? Great spot for a par three but it's kind of an inland hole? Use the ocean - it's a valid crutch! - Green sizes and fairway widths felt a bit inconsistent. With greens, I tend to have a distance in my head of 95 yards when doing the green spline. 85 would be a small green, 105 would be a big green. With fairways, just have measure tools from one side to the other. The exact widths depend on the course, but consistency is always good. It's fine to have smaller and larger on each course, but within a sort of framework. For reference, Kaiuma was always between 50 and 150 yards (lol), whilst Hollingbourne was about 30 - 50 yards in fairway width. Hope those help! I really enjoyed the round and would love to see it find a tour spot

Thanks b101, Really appreciate the play and feedback. The fairway sizes were something both you and cplampman had pointed out on my beta. It got to the point where it felt like I was starting from scratch re doing splines everywhere. Going into the CC I have a better plan (which hindered me on this one, hence the 2 driveable par 4s bookending a par 3) and will be taking all the advice with me, so I'm pretty confident that scaling will be better. And yeah, Matts alright at bunkers. I can see the bathtub look I have going on. I really thought 6 was going to be harder than it was but having played a few times after publish, any kind of wind actually helps you on that hole. Grr. I was afraid to use the coast as a crutch, now I realize I only use it once. Whoops. Welp live and learn. Thanks again, hope you enjoy the next one more.

Nice looking course and congrats on your second published course. You have definitely improved on design looks since your rookie contest course, enjoyed the round i had even when your greens started kicking my butt lol. Keep up the good work dude and hope you find the playthrough entertaining.

Avakrac, Really enjoy your videos so thanks a ton for giving my course a play. Anyone I talk to I tell them to score early and pick your spots on the back. You got half that right . The course was designed to ease you into the round as courses were back in the day. I do have to admit every time you were saying, "stop, sit, stop." I was whispering "go. Go. Go." Thanks for noticing some of the extras. I didn't want any of the plot to be bland, just in case someone wanted to creep around. As always, really enjoyed watching you, and thanks for the kind words.

Very nice job, Justin! I streamed my playthrough and looked for some places to offer some feedback (as I promised long ago).

It's always fun seeing your course played, really helps to see where design strategies work or not. This community has been a great place and it's people like you and the others that have posted here that keep me into a game I would have moved on from long ago.

Given "The Greens @" moniker, it's only fair that we play this after dark, no?
