I just read a few pages of posts on the Perfect Golf site and my question is...
Is there a future for PP and TGC or is what we have what we are going to get?
There is zero info on any new games being made and that in itself is a huge flag. Game companies announce years in advance sometimes and there just is nada.
How does anyone else feel when it comes to the future of this great game?

I think there will be an edition of TGC for the next gen consoles.
There's lot to like about the TGC Franchise - enough so that thousands of people from all around the world play at least 4 rounds per week.
Are there countless ways this game could improve? Absolutely.

They literally just got the PGA licensee and 2k games took HB.
No way would they not release a new game

I would think they have to pay for the license yearly and if there were a game in the works, there would be some hints somewhere and there is nothing anywhere.

I'm not sure PGA would have given a licence for 1 game. It would have to be a multi game deal

Why would they gamble a multi-YEAR license for a game that hardly ever has 100 people at one time playing together?

Anybody know the history of sales for golf games? VGChartz posts sales of all games. I'm skeptical about how accurate that site is. According to them tgc2 sold about double the amount of tgc19. |

It’s been reported that the PS5 will be backwards compatible for PS4 games. If I didn’t have so much IRL stuff going on I’d try to learn Unity or some other game engine and try to make my own game for market including a course creator that would take advantage of Lidar when available. But I don’t have the time or resources so one (or some) of you guys will have to do it  |

It's bleak. Tiger Woods was the peak of golf games. I highly doubt we will ever see a new game from HB.
At least we will be able to play it on new console which we could not with tw14.

i agree it's not looking good for the future which is such a shame but if the money ain't there to be made from a golf game then i think it will be curtains hope i am wrong

Golf needs another big personality to make money from games again. Woods sold because it was woods not because of the game.
There is no golfer at the moment that is capturing the community at the moment
|
