All the time man, all the time. Barely a round goes by where I don't set the loft hit the shot a realize I forgot to change the club. Usually when playing a tourney I go real slow as I'm checking and double checking everything. I have hit driver or 3 wood from 50 yards out more than once as well.

I hit the default clubs from time to time even though I know I meant to change them.
With that said, off the tee box I try to make sure I set the waypoints properly so it does not default the wrong club, I used to not do this, but it makes for a better round not to accidentally hit the wrong club

I haven't done the wind thing, but setting the loft on a flop for a PW but actually using a LW is a common one for me, ending up 10 yards away from where I was aiming, so instead of having a chance to hole it or a more or less guaranteed up and down. I end up struggling for par! Thinking I've already changed clubs on full shots and setting the loft for the wrong one happens too often as well.
Lately I have been playing quite a bit with no help on, it defaults to driver so many times I have assumed I have 3 wood in hand and try to go for the green or a long layup, it is quite a shock when you here that mis hit and the ball goes nowhere near where you expected it to.

I don't mind playing with aids off but the club selector being off doesn't add any realism to the game for me. Like I'd really have a driver in my hand to begin with for a 120 yd approach. THAT is unrealistic lol. Save yourself some time and aggravation, leave the club selector on.
