First off, just want to say a massive thanks to the TGCTours Design Competition gods for giving me a last minute Wildcard into this contest. In the past I have predominantly been an RCR Designer but have been working on my own original designs over the last 18 months. Having grown up on the west coast of Ireland, Links have always been my favourite courses to play and from that have massively influenced my design ideas. Old Tom Morris & Alaister McKenzie would definitely be my biggest influencers in terms of design traits etc. So naturally for my first TGCT Design Contest I'm going to play to what I feel my strengths are and do a links style course. When I'm not designing, I'm working on writing a medieval times based fantasy fiction novel. One of the main areas that the novel focuses on is providing inspiration for this course. Its a small island with some immense cliff drops. Along the northern coast of the island features a beautiful sandy beach that you get to play across for the drivable par 4 3rd hole. On either side of the beach are watchtower's on the overhanging cliff edge. The course will also feature the Emberton Stronghold along with docks and a small settlement. Will post all updates on the project through this feed

2nd Hole - Early Draft Small watchtower in place behind the green. CEASE. AND. DESIST. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/21887/scawt-hill-links-wcod-entryKidding aside, I'm really looking forward to seeing your take on Irish links. It's honestly one of my favorite styles of golf, and the best style of links (no offense to the Scots, naturally) Can't wait to see the finished product!

Haven't really posted anything in a while. Working on tidying up my sculpting while starting to input a few elements of the background. Here's a look at the dog leg par 4 6th
