Certainly wouldn't hurt! Do consider the CC as well I get that I’m new, but the CC just isn’t my thing. And to whoever said that “ a RoOkie DeSigneR oR aN UknOwn CaNT WiN a WCOD.” I read that and I’m coming for all of you. Sam Cassell big ball swinging. To the guy who commented back on this, thanks for the help! Next course will be the BEST course. Watch the throne... Yeah, this wasn't meant as a dig, more as friendly advice to a contest you are more likely to get a place in. But seeing as you're bringing the trash talk, can use capital letters sparingly and seem up for some fun, I'd just scroll down from here: tgctours.proboards.com/post/502291/threadAnd yeah, honestly, a rookie or an unknown can't win a WCoD/Major. There are things you just learn with practice and feedback and the rest of the field is just too good. No shortcuts.
Edit: P.S. you're welcome to check my signature. I feel I'm well-positioned to comment. #humblebrag

I am assuming they are not, because I am not quite sure what you mean by database. I am somewhat new to these forums and TGC Tours

Submitting to TGCTours.com below will help, for sure. Allows them to be reviewed and considered for Tour spots. If for whatever reason they are unapproved, you can then contact reviewers for a bit of feedback. www.tgctours.com/Course/Submit

As the TGCTours staff member responsible for running the official contest details throughout the years, I figured this is a good time to put a note explaining our thought process.
---
To any of the 'new' designers to competitions, please understand that whether you get selected for this contest or not, it is NOT meant as a discouragement to your involvement in this community. It is very important to me that you understand that. We have a great design community, we like to rib each other and have fun, and we welcome all newcomers to the fold. We are glad you found us!
With that said, the entry requirements to each tournament are different for a reason, and it's to give designers of all levels a place to challenge themselves throughout the year in a design contest. The object is not to be elitist or to discourage anybody's involvement, but inversely to ENcourage a progression of skills through contest levels.
The Rookie Design Challenge and the CC Championship is meant to invite all newcomers to contests so that they can get their feet wet. On the other end of the spectrum, the World Cup of Design is meant to give the community's best a chance to face off against each other. I would say the Major and Dream Team are somewhere in between those sides of the scale. Keep in mind that the prize for the Major Design Championship is to host a major event (the Olympics this year), so as contest directors it does us no good to have 10 trusted designers competing against 15 unproven designers that could possibly make a great course, or might turn in something that is completely garbage, or worse, put up a "DNF" and thus have blocked a spot from a better designer that would have put out a good course.
I hope that I'm explaining that in a way that is "factual and situational" rather than "emotional." Again, the idea behind prerequisites is NOT to be jerks and hold people out, it's to hopefully maintain the best purpose of the contest and achieve the results we hope to have for the tours.
There is NO shame in having the CC Championship be your first contest, nor the Rookie Design Challenge. In fact, you will see many veteran designers (like myself) compete in the CC Championship, so the competition will be fierce in there as well. Keep in mind, most all of the people we are referring to as contest veterans cut their teeth in one of those contests, and it's because of that that they get special consideration for the bigger contests. As my team in Philly used to say, "Trust the Process!"
