Do you have access to downswing tempo statistics? I'm wondering how poor my performance is vs. my competitors, as it seems I would average -16 if I didn't get a fast downswing every other approach shot that just ruins my experience. Even when I swing intentionally slow or pause longer at the top, I get fast downswings out of the blue. Want to see how I stack up vs. others because I'm sure I'm at a huge disadvantage

Play for the fast... i am short and either chipping on or putting from 20+ feet. Get the fast and i am chipping back on or putting from 20+ feet. The frustrating thing is my arrow is pointed right where the blue/non blue meet so im like a chin hair from being what i want to be.

I can't give any insight into statistics because well, I just don't have and don't know where that info might be but what I can say is that in my play I rarely get a downswing tempo that I don't want. I would say maybe twice in a 4-round tournament I get a downswing tempo other than what I wanted when I hit the shot.

Same here, my arrow is right on the border of the normal range when I get them, but long left is almost always a horrible place to recover from. When I intentionally swing fast I get the same normal/fast results, where it just seems completely random how I swing. If I build a metronome type device and hook it up to the swing stick, I’m 99% certain I’ll get random results from that. Swing feedback just doesn’t match the feel of how I swing.

I say that the feedback is almost irrelevant.
Dale, have you tried "speeding" your backswing up?
I know it sounds weird, but it's a thing.
Might fix your fasts that you don't want on purpose.
Also, I play a TON of rounds in general with the feedback "OFF" and it works wonders.
😊😊

I just downloaded this game on steam and it's definitely quite a bit more sensitive than PS4 for downswings. After two rounds I started to feel a bit more comfortable, but still had my share of fast/perfects/slow variance in the DSwing. Didn't notice any difference in the backswing tempo between the consoles, but as mentioned, the DSwing was much more sensitive.
While only two rounds in I can really give kudos to those than play with a controller on PC at the highest levels here at TGCT as after making adjustments I could score under par, but not near the level I currently play at on PS4.

I used to be a top 10 golfer pre-tempo. It's not like I went and forgot how to set a shot up - I just can't execute the swing 40% of the time lol.

When i'm on it my tempo is generally good with the odd slow downswing thrown in
I only get fasts when my backswing gets too slow

PS4 players giving PC guys tips on tempo is cute! Would make for a good YouTube channel giving career PS4 guys a PC and an XB1 controller and seeing them play a round.
For what it's worth, I've played a few rounds on PS4 during the TGCT golf trips and one other time at a buddy's place. Ranking 1-10 on how similar my P/P PC swing is to what I discovered was a P/P PS4 swing - it's probably a 2. The only reason it's not 1 is because I gave a bonus point for the fact I still swing up/down on both lol.

This brings up a funny little off-topic story from yesterday.
When I first tried to play yesterday, the Big Picture thingy loaded PS4 controller settings so I thought I was all good. Went to the driving range to take a few hacks and nothing happened. Turns out my swing was mapped to the D-Pad (so yay dead straight lines!) and it was turned 90 degrees. So I had to press right on the D-Pad for a backswing and then left on the D-Pad for a downswing.
Had to mess around in controller settings for 10 minutes to get it correct.

I used to use the horizontal mouse swing in PGA2000 - it's actually a pretty decent simulation of a golf swing going horizontal w/ a mouse - much better than vertical in my opinion.

Maybe I should try a 2 controller system. One of my XB1 controllers I get fewer downswing tempo problems, but the stick is off because a down/up swing is always right of the blue swingplane line. I have to hold it over the left about 1cm before I start my swing to try to hit decent. The other controller the stick seems centered properly, but way more sensitive on the tempo. That's the one I play with since the other the ball start 20 degrees offline right every shot. But I get only about 50% perfect downswings. Easy 2-3 bogeys a round when you get fast downswings on short irons and miss long left a bunch.

Maybe I should buy about 30 controllers off Amazon. Spend all day testing to find the best one. Return the other 29

Return the other 29 From my very limited experience on PC, the XB1 controller tilts heavily towards the fast end on downswings versus the same swing on a Dualshock 4 (PS4) controller. I know you meant your comments as a 'funny', but just know that even on PC the difference between a DS4 and a XB1 controller tempo wise are a noticeable one.
