Probably just need to use 'force EPSG.' usually from searching your state and EPSG codes you can get some worth trying. Most of the time it's just the NAD83 (ft US) one for your area on spatialreference.org, but sometimes even those codes don't do it.
Also, if you didn't download an LAS file (if one wasn't available) have you downloaded the metadata files as well? Sometimes TGCTools will be able to find the EPSG code from there.

Thank You for the info, I was trying to find a correct EPSG code and finally did and it worked.
