One week till registration opens - feels like ages since we started this idea and can't wait to get underway. Two bits of info for you to digest and mull over: Firstly, because we couldn't let a contest pass without getting involved, there will be an extra little throwdown match to kick things off. In a rematch of the WC final, Trayys and I will be drafted by either gamesdecent or ryanmcconnell first of all. We will go head-to-head in a one-off, single point match (to be judged by the other judges). This match will be a bit of a curtain-raiser before the real submissions from each team take centre stage. Plus, I'm still gutted about losing to ploop ploop bunkers. Secondly, your list of required elements is below. These will come in as a tiebreaker if needed. Each designer (and the collab course) has to include any three of their choosing - by all means choose more, but be aware that too many could hurt the course and that you'd only be judged on three that you specify. The aim with this is not just to include the elements, but to do so creatively. We see lots of driveable fours, for example, so how do you go about making that interesting? Above all, these elements are here to help you move out of comfort zones or try to You'll recognise many from last year's CC contest, but there are some additions and removals of elements: - At least one driveable par 4
- At least one par 3 greater than 230 yards
- At least two holes with zero bunkers
- At least one blind tee shot
- Four green sites each within 200 yards of each other
- At least three par 4s under 400 yards
- At least one three shot par 5
- At least one template hole of your choice (please specify template used and provide a real world example!)
- At least five par 5 holes
- At least five par 3 holes
- Course of a par 69 (no lower for database purposes)
- Course of a par 73 (no higher for database purposes)
- Total course yardage no greater than 6900
- Either hole one or hole eighteen to be a par 3
- Entire course to be contained in 1,000,000 yard area (e.g. 1000x1000, 800x1250 etc)
Get thinking

Kinda on the fence with this one. Would be a great way to kick off the new game though.

Kinda on the fence with this one. Would be a great way to kick off the new game though. Definitely a lot of 'new' stuff with this one. We wanted to differentiate it from the other contests a bit more and dig into the team aspect more than last year. I'm sure you'd enjoy it, but obviously depends on commitments elsewhere etc.

When's the combine? Gotta show the scouts I've been beefing up in the offseason.

Nice to look back at some of the quality we had from last year (I'll dripfeed more of these videos as a happy reminder as we build toward the contest). Look forward to more of these for this year's contest as well, although I'm not sure we will ever see (or need to see) a more unnecessary bridge. Compelling work from CiB0RG mattf27 Trayys and jwtexan here:

Doubt I would be drafted, but when the thread opens, I'll likely get in, as I am a glutton for punishment..
