This purely fictional piece of work is going to be my entry into the World Cup of Design! It may or may not be loosely based and/or situated somewhere in Spain. I've never in my life been there. We'll have to ask pablo . #hashtag I wanted to really push my limited knowledge of the tools in the designer. I also wanted to improve on my course in last year's World Cup of Design, Whisperwood. I also wanted to make a golf course that looks like it'd be a blast to play in real life, but mold it to fit the video game scenario. I feel like I'm accomplishing this more and more with each play-test. I wanted it to have that "resort" type feel to it. I wanted you, the player, to WANT to be there. I am giving you options off a bunch of tees. I am giving you driver and then taking it away. Possibly. Maybe. I am giving you the "hero" option. Driver isn't always the best play. Neither are the lay-up clubs I've offered. It all comes down to the greens. The diabolical greens. Why did I make them THIS treacherous? Because I can. They need it. This is a video game. Pure and simple. I've given you plenty of ways to get close to (almost all) of the pins. Some are easily spotted. Others...not so much. There are even ways that LOOK like they will help you and only serve to send your ball careening off the green into the rough/fairway. I think this course is leaps and bounds above Whisperwood. I've learned a ton. I've been practicing just for this occasion. Let's not forget that this will only be my second publish ever. I've told myself that the World Cup of Design will be my yearly release party. There's a bunch of heavy-hitters in here in ALL of the groups. This contest will be wicked. It will be amazing. It will surely not disappoint. I've embraced the challenge. Good luck to my fellow group of b101 , reebdoog , and pablo !  |

Got "most" of my coast line done.
I went a different route than normal.
Also worked on some inland stuff.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with 10.
I have 3 more holes to multi-pin on top of that disaster.
I think the planting thing is going to work out.
I'd post pics, but don't want to scare y'all.
Or get laughed at.

Turns out this flu has been beneficial.
17 out of 18 multi-pinned.

Some spot planting here and there on those holes is all they lack.
Also, got some more coast to work on.
Yuck.
I'm not sure of the look I decided on, but it works and I love it!
It's not your traditional coast/cliffs.
Also, I took a HUGE risk on the back and I think it paid off.
I went zero bunkers on the back!

It just "feels" right.
Not once have I played it and thought, "Hey, this needs bunkers."
You literally don't need them.
That's how good I think it turned out.

I've taken multiple risks here and I think they worked beautifully.
