Never mind, 3 restarts later All about the bump and run down the left with a 2 iron or fast 3 iron for me . Alternatively, you could hit at the slope on the right of the pin and bring it back in. Or go over the bunker and kill it in the upslope. Or just layup short right and flop it on for an easy par. 10 is not a difficult hole, in spite of the length. All about how your imagination works with that one.

I had a 2 wood, tried to hit the slope on the right twice but it was too much club, could have probably faded it a little but i had a draw wind. 2 attempts with a 2 iron i ran it up to 6'. It's a small landing area though. I thought I hit it perfect the first time but it rolled off the right side. Great course, there's a lot of shots like this throughout. Makes for loads of fun. Hopped back on for another round right away.

Really nice course here! I loved the routing how it turns constantly and how you get some views of other holes as you go. The sculpting around the entire course is very nice as well. I also thought the planting was done to a T. Not too much and not too barren. I hate planting so well done with that haha
He 10th is such a strong hole. It was an immediate standout to me because no one builds holes like this in this game. It requires a different strategy than what people are used to which is why some won’t like it haha I thought it was conceived and produced very intelligently and I’m assuming it came out exactly how you wanted it. One critique I have is the lighting is not my favorite. It was really bright in some spots and really dark in others. Just a little too jarring at times.
Overall really well done and good luck.

Thanks pal - I really appreciate it from someone whose courses this took a lot from! Glad you enjoyed the 10th and that was part of the reason for building the hole. It was the most fun hole I've ever built in terms of playtesting as I kept just adding little humps and bumps as I tried different shots. It's also a lot of fun to build a hole where there isn't a perfect shot and you just kind of hit to an area rather than a flag. Totally get your critique about the lighting and I know we have discussed this before. I did look at cloudy and soft lighting, but it really didn't work out. I'm sure it's doable, but I just couldn't manage it. Would love to know what settings you tend to use for that look though so I can add that to the repertoire going forward. And yeah, the planting was a nightmare. Also managed to hit the end of the meter setting the Out of Bounds... Go figure! Thanks for this and all of the other comments

Wow. Snatched my early fave to win. Might be TOO good Jeez, high praise indeed. I reckon you'll be changing your favourite plenty of times over the next month and a half though - there's such a crazy stacked field! Dude, what an awesome course. Enjoyed every minute of even if it did kick my ass lol. Good luck with the contest. Thank you so much, pal - will give it a watch now. Love all that you do and can't wait to hear that music! Got a few playthroughs to get through this morning with meyo and CuseHokie 's as well.

This course is just delightful Ben. Played a skins match here and it was a ripper. So much fun. Beautiful views and planting throughout. Loved the gold colour tinges. And your clubhouse area really caught my eye. The holes in and around that were my favourites. Superb work mate.

Not meant as a bump, but I’ve noticed that the same terrain bug that plagues Harvest and Highlands is also present in Tropical. I’ve added a note to the OP, but please set greens and fairways to very firm for the proper experience as it was designed (both were maxed in the designer). HB defaults all terrain to normal (medium) firmness for no good reason.
It doesn’t make a massive difference but it’ll add a little more challenge on approaches and should allow a bit more variety in the ground game.

Wooo weeee that was a fun course! The fairways are nice and wide but you can really screw yourself if you don’t pay attention where you shoot. The yardage is long on paper but didn’t feel like it played super long. The look is really cool. Loved the cliffs at the back and the river running the entire length through the middle. I would actually like to see what this course would look like treeless. Well done Ben! Good luck in the comp man and get some well deserved rest

Really enjoyable round and every hole is stunning. Thanks both - appreciate the positive feedback! Joe, I actually originally considered going treeless, but it really didn't work out when I looked at it. Plus, I need trees for framing purposes . One day, I'll manage it, but this wasn't the course for that, particularly once I knew how I wanted 16 to work.
