I am nearly ready to publish a new links design called Guid Donner. It measures right around 7100 yards and plays to a par of 72. It is set on the coast, and features some coastal holes, some inland, flatter holes, and a few with some large elevation changes. The course was cut into some extremely wild terrain featuring cliffs and some inland water. The green and fairway firmness is set about mid-range, with the green speeds set high. (180 ft max putt) Here are some screenshots and notes. I plan to release a sort of a caddie notebook on the course with a short writeup for each hole that will give some strategy for the best way to attack for par or better. Bunkering on hole 1. This hole has since been raised to reveal small rocky cliffs instead of grass leading directly to water. #2, shortish par 3. Bird's eye view of the approach to the par 5 3rd, followed by the golfer's view. #7, short par 4 which ranges from driveable in favorable winds to driver-mid iron in unfavorable winds. #10 fairway. Avoiding the bunker on the right is a must if par is a goal. 17th green and 18th hole bird's eye view. 17 is a long par 3 around 250 yards that will, nonetheless, yield many birdies. 18 is a dog leg right par 4. The length of your approach depends on how much of the corner you are willing to risk. A well executed drive yields a short iron approach. A poorly executed drive yields penalty strokes.

This looks like a very solid design! Don't forget to submit on the site so we can play and get it reviewed.
