Hey guys, I'm relatively new to most of you which I'm hoping will allow me to bring something fresh to my designs. I see a lot of people are making these threads so I will make one too.

My idea is a resort course in the desert with a lot of water. I will use mostly flat bunkers that are lower than the greens and fairways like TPC Sawgrass. I have seen some people say they want a harder course which I will gladly attempt with my chances of advancing out of Group G are quite low. There will be an abundance of cacti and rocks, which is well out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to try something new on my first "try hard" design. 

I will post pictures at some point this weekend once enough progress has been made.

Here is a very rough draft of what I have. Most things here are just place holders for later. I tried to show my planting ideas and how my hazards will be created. I have a lot of work to do on the bunkers and retaining walls, as well as committing to the double water trick or not.

Ya it will be finished. I'm just testing the pins now and adjusting the green complex's. They are the weakest part of the course. I changed the style of the course a little since those WIP pictures and took out the double water trick everywhere I had it. I'll be posting tomorrow night after work.
