I'm on my 4th attempt at starting this course. I may have found one that sticks. Details at 11.

Well, nope. That one didn't stick. I might still publish it later. We'll see.
Attempt number 6 is being worked on now. I started it Saturday night when I got back in town. So far so good. Pics will be here soon.

Just glad to know I'm not the only one that decided to pull the plug on a design or two (or four)

So, while I was working on hole 11, I came to one of those points in the design process where some un-undoable decisions have to be made. I had been thinking about putting a lake in front of the tees on #6 with all those fancy bridges and walls, and there is already a lake on #11, so why not connect the two and put in some eye candy?

Looking good. Think it was a good decision you made. Can't wait to see these holes with some planting added

I have begun planting. It has become apparent that I will use every inch of the object meter. Old Henry used the entire thing. This one will also.

Well. I've decided I don't like my course very much. I'm 14 holes in, and started planting, and it looks terrible. My schedule this month has made it impossible to get any momentum going in design, so I've decided to start over. Again. Rest assured, I will have an excellent course published before 2/1. I'm just not certain which one it will be - the new one, or the finished old one. Spoiler alert: probably the new one. The filename for the new course is WC08 BTW because it's attempt number eight.

If you don't like it, start over. People give Andre flak for it all the time and I've never understood why - it's a golden rule IMO.

And now for something completely different. The Boreal Theme is my jam I guess, so I'm going with what I do best. I originally wanted to do something very different than my normal course builds, but I just couldn't get any momentum with the "different" courses. I'm planting as I go so the individual hole design is going a little slower than usual, but when I'm done with 18, I'll have a nearly finished golf course.
Here are two photos from the new course.
