I really enjoyed the challenge of this course and will play it again in the future. -14 after two rounds was pretty good for me. I think the cut will be fairly high given the course and smaller field. If I had to guess, around -3.

First two rounds had winds in the 14-18 mph range and had difficulty getting close enough for makeable birdie putts. I had no chance at an eagle as I couldn't reach the par 5s in less than 3 shots. (I'd love to know if HB intentionally designed the wind to blow directly in our face on all Par 5s...lol) Not sure if - 5 will be enough to make the cut. Not to complain, but I'm not a fan of this course at all. Felt more like torture than a round of golf. :-) Def agree with the torture. I'm all for a challenge but I would like to enjoy a hole or 2...ha That being said I actually ended with -4 and -4 So I'm hoping my first ever tourney I make the cut at -8

This course and I do not get along. I can't seem to get a good feel for the landing spots off the tee and spent way too much time in the sand/rough. Currently sitting at -3 after two rounds and anxiously waiting to see where the cut line falls. If all else fails, I'll see y'all next week!

Well, I played my first round and finished with a decent score of 68 for 4 under. The winds were fair, but I had some 'what just happened moments'. First few hole I hit some terrible hooking shots that were pretty bad, but was able to recover. I was -4 under after 8, but on the 9th I didn't adjust to the wind correctly and the ball landed on the wrong side of the green and it rolled off the edge. I went to change my club for my chip shot, but instead I changed the shot type and instead of hitting a 8 yd chip I hit a 65 yd shot. So instead of finished the hole with a par, I finished with a dbl bogey. I then missed too putts, one that was too short that stopped at the lip and one that I hit too hard and bounced out. So I feel I could have finished 8 under, but maybe in the next round I will do better.
Edit - Finished my second round at 67, leaving me at 9 under for the first two rounds.
And from the Rules Policies page Round Advancement
The tournament leaderboard will show progressive round scoring based on the following schedule:
Round 1 - Start Date of Tourney Round 2 - 23:59:59 (UTC -5:00) on Tuesday of week of tournament Round 3 - 23:59:59 (UTC -5:00) on Thursday of week of tournament Round 4 - 23:59:59 (UTC -5:00) on Saturday of week of tournament

Holy crapola this course can be so effing frustrating at times. Played a fair few practice rounds all in the 63-68 range in varying conditions. Get to the real deal and winds are super low, 3 or 4 mph most of the round so yay. That's when it all went pear shaped. Hit bunker after bunker, drives squirmed off into the rough and putts lipped out like theres a force field round the hole.
1st round 71. Crap.
After that the wind increased a bit and strangely enough I played much better.
62, 66, 65
Still far too many missed putts to really challenge but I was okay with those 3 rounds, but that first one.... grrrr.

Same here. I hit bunkers I never hit in my numerous practice rounds and they were all in 11mph plus winds. Play in low winds and it's all gone pear shaped. Strange. Almost as if I had got used to the high winds. 66 and 70 for my first 2 rounds.

Well, it appears I'm going to miss the cut. My first round in high winds absolutely killed me. I should have "wind-waited." (just kidding)
I got better in rounds 2-4 and finished -19 for the tourney but not nearly good enough. I've really regressed over the last few weeks.
I've gotten sorta lazy with doing my math and have really just started playing by feel, while trying to remember as much of Doyley's chart as I can.
Oh well, having fun just the same.

If you think this course is a challenge, wait till next week when you really have to know yardage and where on the green to put the ball. Not to mention they are some of the firmest greens for landing the ball I've ever played, as you have to hit the ball 10 ft. Or more before hole to get it to stop rolling. GL on the rest of this week gentlemen, next week it should get interesting.

With 20 people withdrawn only 10 people didn't make the cut. I think the cut line should be 50 with these smaller fields. What does everyone else think?

What benefits would that convey to the competition? I'm not anti- as such, I just can't see it makes a huge difference either way. Provided the cut line is consistent then everyone is competing on a level playing field. Also you can't factor withdrawals into a cutline calculation as the number will vary from week to week. If there had been no withdrawals would you have been happy with the cutline?

If there had been no withdrawals would you have been happy with the cutline? I've yet to see a tournament where there have been no withdrawals. I feel 70 is too high for the current field size and should be lower. This would have an impact on the rest of us as a lower cutline would have affected more of us. It was to easy for most of us to make the cut this week.
