Well, you’re looking at seeds 1v4 and it’s still pretty heavily weighted on technical, so shouldn’t be surprising. I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the third seeds beat a second and certainly when we progress to the SFs and technical counts less, you’ll see some slightly different results. That said, I think Marlette‘s real strength is in its routing and hole designs so good luck to you all  Let’s not forget Dunes at Lake Marie came out of the pools in fourth... |

True Ben... however it was mentioned as an observation as it seems we might be heading into a Marlette vs Bahir final the way things are going and the rest are just making up the numbers.... but I will be happy to be proven wrong Although, I must add... I thought my routing and variety in hole design was also a strong point..... now, if the judges saw it the same way is another story  ....... Also come on guys.... some are out of this contest and some may be out soon as  well... surely now that you/we are out and "impartial" we can venture predictions?... This is afterall the last time this group of rookies will be together. |

I predict I’m gone this Friday.
Mine was neat as per the primary objective but not challenging enough and that’s ok. Additionally my aesthetics won’t get me to the end but that was part of the “story” of the course but I think it was overlooked from some of the streams I watched.
Overall I’m totally ok with it cos it’s just a game.

Great job Junyuh! I would say the environment is what pushed this over the top. I liked a lot of the strategy on this course too. Sad for Dian though Tyro would have put up a really good fight I imagine.

This was the toughest matchup in the quarters I feel and both top quality courses that deserved to win. I would have personally gone the other way but congrats Junyah, that swampy bayou feeling really immersed you in. Commiserations Dian, I really enjoyed it when I played it.

Well deserved junyuh , good luck against the Juggernaut, er, I mean Marlette.. MyGolfGameSucks , still a great course! I imagine it was a hard choice, but someone had to move forward.. Thanks Jeff.... I thought this round is where my course would shine..... but apparently not  Tx Patrick for running this.To everyone that made or tried to make this contest fun, thank you. Of course nothing would be possible without my fellow contestants... so march on guys... get better and Im looking forward to seeing what comes next from at least 15 of the other 17 designers here... and we couldnt get to the finals without judges... thank you for your time and playthroughs.... I will send a few guide dogs your way .... Now that Im out ... I dont want to pack up and leave yet, so I will be giving my own personal opinions and thoughts on the contest and courses left in the next day or so. And lastly well almost ... thank you for the pm's including fellow contestants about my course and to the TGC community for getting it to almost 2000 plays..... whats next... I want to stay of the designer for a couple of weeks... yeah right...and come back with a pga style boreal course.... as my lasr few courses have been aimed at the cc am/pro ranks...... Ok guys .. im out for now....good luck to the remaining courses in the contest.... and Junyuh .. jokes about judges aside very well done and may your course give Ben a good run for his money. |
