Now I will say this. If that tall, wispy grass is consistent throughout, I could see removing the trees and having a very Scottish-style course. Hmmmm...

I liked the autumn theme because of the color palette of the trees. Makes for a beautiful looking course without the need for a ton of planting. This one looks about the same with some countryside mixed in. Should be fun to work with.

Personally I think this is how they are updating the themes. The really can't go in and drastically change the original themes because people will take issues with their courses changing. Having a 2nd option/similar theme is an easy work around

i think this will be the best looking theme yet, couple that with vibrant red brick walls that are coming, and you are really going to see some eye candy in future courses from various designers.

I totally agree taste. Can't wait to see Fickett's Ballentyne updated in this theme! And Copper creek...

From that first look I'd say it looks nice!
Looking forward to see that theme going live in a few days...

I still hate that specific attributes are "locked" to these themes, like higher winds on Links and increased firmness on Desert courses. Well it looks like they're doing it again:
"The greens will be fairly slow and receptive so you should be able to land the ball close to the hole and not see it run too far past. On the downside the wind will, generally, be quite strong which is normal for this time of year in the region."
So, lowered firmness and stronger winds on Harvest . Firmness (and green speeds) should be completely in the hands of the course designer, and winds should not get modifiers based on theme. And before someone says "but winds ARE higher on links courses..." Give me a break. Not every links course is on the Scottish seaside or the Monterrey Peninsula. And for that matter, who's to say a clever designer can't make a forest track in the links theme.

And for that matter, who's to say a clever designer can't make a forest track in the links theme. when they talk about the firmness, they are just talking about the defaults, each theme has different default firmness settings, but if you move the slider, to minimum on any theme, it reacts the same, and vice versa, if you move the slider to max, it will be the same as all other themes. for example: the desert theme defaults to max firmness, but you can move the slider way down if you wish and make it play much softer. the original autumn settings are much lower, but you can beef it up if you wanted to. hope this helps. (expect the official courses to use the default settings, as they have on most of their courses)
