The Wheel of Death will be happening on my twitch channel tomorrow night at 8pm EST.

What is the wheel of death?
The format resembles the format of the FIFA World Cup. You will begin in a "Group Stage". There will be 8 groups of 4 (A.B,C,D,E,F,G,H). Within your group you will be going head to head with each of the other 3 courses. You must finish 1st or 2nd in your group to advance to the knockout bracket. The 2 courses in each group that do not advance are eliminated. We spin the Wheel of Death to determine which group you will be in.
As you can see above there are 2 pools (A,B). Each participant has been placed in a pool based on past design contest results and experience. Please don't take it personally if you are not in group A. Arguments could be made about many of the designers in this competition since the field is so strong! We do this to attempt to make all the groups relatively even.
All of the designers names in Pool A will be placed on a Random-Picker wheel. Group B names will be on a different wheel. We will spin the wheels and fill in the spots until there are 2 designers from each pool in every group.

sroel908: And as someone who's rangered/scheduled hundreds of courses, trying out a wide range of conditions, I can say with certainty that green speeds do have an impact and definitely matter.

sroel908: Green firmness is more about how the ball interacts with the putting surface when you hit an approach into it. A soft green is more receptive, and will allow more backspin than a firm one. A firm green will have less bite and more rollout.

meunier33: I have seen 135 greens that putt like they are 170. Therefore, we can conclude that green speed does not matter.

meunier33: I still play this game like it was the game before 2K21. Up until this month I have never tried to change anything about how I play the game. It has made me worse trying to adapt also.

Art Vandelay: each time the game has been issued (TGC, TGC2, TGC19, etc) the game play changes. Some more than others. You have to adapt. Or go away, like some have.
