Probably the most anticipated season I can ever remember, talent has been spread across the league thru the off-season. A west looks to be better than the east which has been the case for quite some time now. The LA teams are stacked, will Khawi bring the same magic to the clippers the way he did for Toronto? Will the king Lebron James stay healthy at 35 years old and continue his dominance? Can Russ Westbrook and James Harden mesh in an efficient way in Houston? Does Zion live up to the hype? Tons of questions will start to be answered starting tonight!
My end of season standing prediction, and yes, Warriors after losing KD and lay Thompson being out for the year will have a rough start and end up squeaking in as an 8 seed
East: West: Bucks Lakers Sixers Clippers Celtics Mavericks Raptors Nuggets Pacers Rockets Magic Trail Blazers Heat Jazz Wizards Warriors
Sixers beat Bucks in Eastern Conference Final, and the Lakers beating the Mavericks in the Western Conference Final.
Lakers def. Sixers in 6 games to win the NBA Championship, Lebron will take back his throne as king of the NBA

I agree with your assessment of Dallas, despite flying under the radar a bit with the two LA teams and Houston. Dallas has some absolute studs like Doncic and Porzingis. In my opinion, Doncic is underrated and will only continue to improve and people forget how legit Porzingis was prior to getting injured. Delon Wright is also a formidable PG to facilitate the offense.

No faith in New Orleans this season? They are going to be interesting to watch. The West is tough but I wouldn't be surprised to see them creep up there somewhere.

I wanted to put the Pel's in there but every team in the west seemingly get better this year. Let's say Damien Lillard has an off year I could see the Trail Blazers sliding and the Pelicans getting in there. Zion is also hurt for the first 6-8 weeks with a tore meniscus so it could be a rough start for them. Especially if Zion just chills and eats a bunch of gumbo in the N.O. lol

This could be a fantastic and very unpredictable season. There're no more invincible teams and every favorite team has, right now, some question mark somewhere..and I think there is room for some great surprise. The better coaches could make really some miracle, cause in these situations often is the teamwork that can make the difference. Furthermore, I feel that after the All Star Game, some team could make some change to improve a lot, if there is some chance to be seriously competitive for the title. I'm expecting a quite equilibrated regular season, at least until the ASG..with a lot of "little" teams that will steal some W here and there..then after the final adjustments we will have a more clear situation.
Probably, today, if the Clippers should find some way to have some good playmaking, they could be my favorite for the western conference..if not for the title. But is one of the few things that Leonard really can't do. They have a lot of great defenders..a lot of guys who can score, but when the ball will burn they needs some trustable ball mover. I bet that after the AG they will do something about it. I totally agree about Dallas. If KP should recover well enough, with Doncic they have a treasure. They could be the real surprise of the season. I'm a bit doubtful about the Lakers. I know Lebron can do miracles, but I have doubts on Davis. About his supposed leadership and about the chances he will be healthy for all the season. No counting the fact that, as it happens often at LAL, the situation on the bench is a bit weird. And if Lebron should decide again to be the leader, the coach, the GM etc..it could be a long season. Then there are lot of teams that could be competitive. Denver, Utah, Minnie (if those two little girls could show some balls instead to dance..), Golden State..and I bet that San Antonio will surprise someone (if LMA find his balls too).
At East maybe the situation is a bit more defined. I believe that Boston this year will have some revenge after the disappointing season. If Kemba should to understand how to play with his teammates and to follow Stevens..and if Hayward could finally to recover, with that group of players they could be the best team at East by far. Milwaukee probably in the playoffs will pay again (but in a worst way) the fact that, if the Greek can't add some 3 shot to his weapons, or at least some decent movement in post, all the team is quite one dimensional in attack. Is enough to block the painted area and they have just the 3 shot as offensive option. Phila seems to be the favorite team..and they are, with the complete team available. But in short all will depends on Embiid, for me. If he should be injured at some point when it counts, i don't know if Simmons can really be the go to guy. Not with that obscene ball's release. Then there's a good number of teams that could fight for a place in the playoffs..but I think these three are the best teams for the Finals.
Side note...as a proud Knicks supporter, I'll probably enjoy another exciting and full of ambitions season.. 👀
SH!T..is simply unbelievable..the bigger market in the USA, a team in which anyone would love to play..and they are unable to build a team good enough to play with some dignity. Mah..
Good basket to everyone!

My Pistons won without Blake Griffin in the lineup, D-Rose looking like his old self was magical! I love this guy. Incredible bad luck all his career..but I strongly believe that if he deal with the new "role"..as a sixth man and being deputed to play in the hardest moments of the match, he can still give something special. Detroit looks also like one of those teams (and they are a good number) that could be a surprise..like Orlando or Miami. I'm also impressed by Utah. Maybe cause I love too much Conley..but they are really dangerous. It will be a great season. But honestly I'm everyday a bit more disgusted with what happened with the Chinese affair. Here in Italy, the attitude to try to make everyone happy when is absolutely impossible, trying to minimize issues and problems not taking a clear position about something is called "cerchiobottismo". Or, more simply, to be a "paraculo". I don't know how to explain it in English..but Silver is acting exactly like a "paraculo". Totally.
