You can miss left or right if you don't swing the analog stick straight but I am playing on PS4. The swing will change to the PC version when the patch comes out for PS4/XB1/PC How much can you miss L/R by on PS4? If my golf swing is anything to go by, I do not swing nearly consistently, and I haven't noticed any deviation. "Max Hook" shouldn't even be a concept, as it breaks numerous factors into an overly simplistic control. Hook is determined by hand position, leverage and lift, and altering those things not only changes the amount of hook, but also can change the amount of distance your ball travels before it starts to hook. The distance before a ball hooks and the angle of hook also tend to be characteristics of bowling balls themselves due to their coverstock and the shapes of the weight blocks. This is another area where the game's depth is sorely lacking. The presentation is really good and the commentary is off to a good start, but the game is basically as shallow as the mobile game is, and that's about 8 years old. There's so much potential. I hope it gets realized.

It's the best bowling game I have played since Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling on PS back in 1997

I picked up this game because it looks fun. But I know nothing about bowling at all. Haven't broken 200 yet in the game.
Any tips and tricks you can share? Any suggestions on balls? How am I supposed to know what the various oil patterns do?

How am I supposed to know what the various oil patterns do? I am using the DV8 outcast (neon green/black ball) and I keep my bowler right in the middle of the lanes and move it just to the left of the third arrow. From what I understand the oil patterns really aren’t working right now but is an update to fix that. I have some streams up On twitch if you want to take a look. Glad to see you’re playing John!

I use the same ball with a baby hook from the right side about 2 - 2 1/2 marks over. I try to crash the pocket into the 5 pin. I also hold the stick all the way through the pins, i don't release at impact. I use a full speed granite/concrete ball for spares. when I get the max speed, it's at 30 mph.

Any bowling purist knows this 1st game leaderboard should never happen with Belmo. Not right

I am going to have to check this out. I’ve thrown two 300s in real life by the way. No 800’s I think I had 787 and average 208.
