Also do the dream team and cc overlap? A little - I don't think the first month of designing vs the final month of publish (in a 5 month window) should be an issue though. Certainly don't think it'll hurt and will give us even more activity

So it's CC before Dream Team?

Yup. Always has been the plan. DT just started very early last year due to the long window.

Ok, well that changes things. Thanks! You're sketching a course right now, aren't you?

So the cc and the major contest both start feb 1? Finalizing those details Wes but, expect a longer, more open-ended time frame for the CC.

Longer than 2 months for CC?!?!? SINCE WHEN?!?!? And is DT still going to be just 2 months?
EDIT: I'm dumb, DT is 3 months. Never mind.

I mean no offense to JC or Ben here but, I think it would been better if the DT continued as an "unofficial" design contest. It was already popular enough and became a big hit in its own right. Having it as an alternative design contest was better because the other comps then received their full design windows.

100% agree with Joe, although it looks like maybe they have found a solution? Major has its time, and so does CC if it's a longer more open window. DT as 3 months is probably good enough as well? Originally I remember it being 2 for CC and 2 for DT, easy to understand why it's no longer going to be that way.

Unofficial Dream Team had a 4-month design period last time which was nice, although it didn't help me.

The schedule above is correct as of this time. There is a logic applied to the timeframes, and it’s in the heart of trying to be more inclusive and provide designers enough time.
Details of the Major are coming this weekend!

Just noticed the 5 month timeframe for the CC contest. I applaud this. It might be enough to tempt me back into a design contest.
