Hi all. I'm working on a course with some shared greens and have run in to a problem when multi pinning it. In this case it's hole 2 and 5. I've pinned hole 2 but when I add pins for hole 5 they become hole 2 and one of the others becomes hole 5. Same when I try to move them, I'll move a hole 5 pin and it transforms in to a hole 2 pin. Why is this and what can I do to put my pins where I want to? Thanks in advance!

They probably default to the nearest waypoint. Try moving your waypoints farther away from each other. Even on the far edges of the green.

While I don't have a definitive answer for you, I have a theory. It could be if you add a pin for hole 2 and then move it so it is actually closer to the end waypoint of hole 5, the game might be changing it because it's closer to another hole's waypoint... Just my thought but I'm not sure if that's exactly why that's happening.
Edit: Sorry just saw someone already commented basically the same thing. That would be my guess as to what's happening. Try moving the ending waypoints in such a way that each pin location you want will still be closer to it's intended hole's waypoint

Thanks guys, I'll have a play with the waypoints when I get home later.

When I did my multi-green course in TGC2 (Muirfield Manor) - I had to redo the pins several times (As they wouldn't stick on the holes I wanted)
In the end iirc, I had to put down all the pins close together for each hole near the waypoint, then put down the other holes on a separate section of the green near their waypoint - and once they were all down, I could move them about to their proper spread out positions.
It was a bit of a PITA to be honest!

Yep, as others say, it's the waypoint thing. Move those and everything should be golden.

The thing is it is literally one green for two holes, not a giant shared green. So the pins for both holes are in similar places which makes moving the waypoints to be near 'their' pins tricky. I wonder if I literally put one waypoint exactly on top of the other one it might work?
Either way, I'll have a play and see what happens. I remember Muirfield Manor well rob4590! In a lot of ways this isn't dissimilar.
Again, thanks for the help fellas.

another solution could be to create 2 small greens first, so you can multi pin each one. Then once you're happy with them add a green texture to link them together

What I had to do was split my green in two, I used the measuring tool to mark the border where the green changed holes. I sculpted the green so there was a big slope on the border to discourage the player from shooting onto the other green and accidentally hitting the ball into the wrong hole.

I managed it after an infuriating hour or so if tinkering! In the end I moved the waypoints to the section of the green nearest the tees, placed my hole 2 pins and then deleted my hole 5 ones, and then recreated them again where I wanted them. It was weird because it wouldn't let me add more pins to hole 5, I had to add to my already 4 hole 2 pins to create the hole 5 ones! But I think I've got there

I built a double green at Angus Bay International (8th and 10th) and a triple green at Quirk Park (6th, 13th and 15th) and yet I didn't run into this problem. What I did though was to treat each green as seperate greens that are joined together and not have pins from another hole be placed on the 'other' green. Doing it like this I never once had one of the pins assign to the wrong hole.
