Just played the 5th hole of my Round on Pro Tour..hit a wayward shot on the 5th tee off..2nd shot I could not see the ball nor my golfers legs from the knees down..no option to declare unplayable..brought my ball back as far as I could for a dropped shot and I was still left in the water..absolutely rediculous..f**king sucks that I had too take a 7 shot hit..why I bother to put it up here to vent I dont know...this game is slowly sliding down from where it was and should be

No option to declare unplayable??? Never seen that before. Always there when I'm in trouble.

You cannot play your 2nd shot, hit it into the water, and then go back to that spot and take an unplayable lie. That's against the rules of golf. You would have had to declare your ball unplayable before your 2nd shot and hit your third from the tee.
When you declare unplayable, you have the option to hit from the previous spot by pressing the L1 or LB button.
I am not clear on exactly the order of things that happened in your case. I am also not sure how this game is "slowly sliding down from where it was." This has always been how unplayable lies worked in every iteration of this franchise, and there hasn't been an update to this game in nearly a year.

No option to declare unplayable??? Never seen that before. Always there when I'm in trouble. It happened also to me, two times, on two different courses. I don't remember anymore the courses, they were almost surely two courses i was checking for the list of real courses, but I'm pretty sure is just a flaw of the game, not of a certain course. Sadly, the management of this thing (and, more generally speaking, also of the whole dropping zones) is one of those things that needs a huge improvement, in the next game.
