Thinking about it I'd agree that it's a harder shot with the 2 wood. If you'll divulge did you cut distance with a 95%, deloft, or is that just enough draw to kill it? Either way pretty crazy shot, and to say I'd rather boost a 1i than deal with that minuscule swing cone.
I just hope goodbeer isn't taking these ridiculous shots as permission to keep throwing this kind of stuff at us.

Actually played ok, made some decent putts in the opening 2 rounds. -9, -10 for a -19 at the weekend should be a lock to play on.

I am breaking in a new DS4 as my old one has been getting wonky. Hoping to use it for next week and try to give you more competition in our head to head matchups! Good luck over the weekend rounds.

Thanks! Hopefully the new controller gives you a little better feel. I have 4 Controllers, two are for other games, Red Dead, COD, etc, and are so worn out from constant abuse from my son and I that they can't be used for golf. I actually bought 2 more just for golf, and one of them feels good, while the other is just all over the place. It stinks that there is such a variation, it gets expensive if you need new ones.

Robbed blind in rounds 2,3 and 4. One of these days I'll get a fair roll of the ball. -39 all in. Could have been anything..

Round 3 in at -13. 😏😏
Started out rather hot, but cooled a bit. 😎😎
Hit some really nice shots and others were a yard or two off from being good. Made some putts that shouldn't have went. Missed some that had me raging. 😏😏
-33 thru 3! 😊😊
Hope to finish strong and try for a Top-10. 😎😎
Good luck!

I wonder if Rhonda has been in touch with the fair play committee to see where the problems lay with his rounds, or whether he already knows...

No partial swing, just a big ol' rope hook into the wind. It's for sure not an exact science of how much the shot starts out off-line since the cone gets so narrow, but this one set up really well for it since the bank I was drawing the ball into was so big. Kind of hard to tell on the video I guess, but I definitely pulled it from where I was trying to aim, and that was the miss I was hoping for if it wasn't a great swing. I've gotten pretty comfortable-ish with that shot since it's the only way I can semi-cover that 235 carry since I don't have a 1i, but I have to have cooperation from the wind (i.e., need to draw against it and not with) to get it to go that short. I think the first playing from the tips segment I did on WGO covered this, may have been the second, but it's definitely become a go-to for me to help cover gaps at the top end of my bag. Isn't foolproof but it's my best available option since I can't manipulate tempo as well as most everyone else up here.

Just as a follow up since I am not a wgo regular, its obvious in my setup that i use the edge of my screen to reference the amount of draw or fade to apply, what do you use for your reference on that? Ive found that a '2 screen draw' not counting wind is about a 3 wood-ish and probably would have done that with a touch of deloft if I was trying your shot. Quite enjoying this next level shotmaking discussion. Interesting to see different tactics to accomplish the same shot

Followed up my awesome week with a horrible missed cut. This course and I have never seen eye to eye. Nothing wrong with the course and kudos to the designer, I just don't play it well. It happens and no worries, I'll be back strong next week. Good luck to everyone this week! Shoot em low!

Knew I probably should have skipped this event as it definitely does not play to my strengths. Hit the ball well but a part of the game where I'm pretty good is scrambling. This course took all that away. 7 yards away or 25 yards away, the ball hits the green and just keeps rolling. Loft to max, still rolls way past the hole. Partial flop, still rolls. I did well in the putting but I gave up too many strokes from the short chip/flop game to be able to content for a cut.
On to next week.
