I know everyone is wired differently and people are going to do what they want and I get that. However, if I were him, or anyone else, I wouldn't want to do something that was looked on as gaining an unfair advantage. I know it's been widely known that he's skirting the line at all times, so I'm surprised that he hasn't tried to change it. I mean if I was doing something wrong when I played and someone alerted me to it, I would try to fix it immediately. I'm trying to play the game on the same level field as everyone else. That's what makes the competition fun and exciting. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Thanks Justin! I would want someone to tell me so I could make sure that I wasn't doing it. It's kinda funny to me because people talk about the disadvantage that XB1 players have. I don't even think about that because I'm not trying to make excuses when I know it's still possible. That's part of it and nothing can be done about that and I even still think that XB1 players can compete. However, flicking or any kind of swing aid can be helped and that's the biggest issue. It's not a console thing necessarily (although, from what I understand it's easier to flick on PS4 than XB1 but I'm not sure about that), it's just a matter of trying to make sure everyone isn't getting an unfair advantage from really trying to "game the system" so to speak. I know everyone wants to win, I do too so I get it. However, I don't want my win to feel tainted when I get it or to be viewed as such (I don't know how he feels about his victories so I won't speculate). Maybe he has his reasoning and I won't debate what he's trying to do, but this is just my $.02 worth.

I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon against anyone who has only one API pull, regardless of swing. I've seen too many players get tagged with one, so it can happen to anyone. I'm sure the moment I start saying, "About time" I'll get hit with my first. Karma's a biatch.

A couple of points from me: Firstly re Rawesy - while we know he flicks (and therefore does indeed get an unfair (but up till now legal) advantage) - and while he has not (in general) been the most sociable person on the forums (or in his own society etc) - I do think his first offence should be treated in the same way that a first offence by a popular community member (eg Smiffy) would be / was. Yes - I am one of the first to castigate those repeatedly failing - but he has not (yet) done it more than once. When / if he fails again - I will be one of the first to tell him where he can flick his stick!!! Secondly re the new TST rules - for clarity, I, along with Smiffy, Gavlaar (and now very recently) Fadge are all part of the TST Admin team who have created the new rule. For background - the withdrawals after making the cut were the first issue that we were trying to address - getting 6-10 people not finishing most weeks was stopping others making cuts (with loss of Fedex points, Ryder Cup points, WGR points). We therefore wanted to stop that happening - and the 1 week ban for that (increasing on subsequent DNFs) was felt to protect all the other (loyal / committed) players.
We then looked at API fails - and felt that for consistency, the same response was justified for the first two fails - can't really give a lesser punishment for failing API than not being bothered to finish!!! Hence the 1 week ban after first offence. However - we didn't want multiple failers on TST (the same as nearly all of us don't here on PGA) - hence the season ban after 3 fails. The only part of all these rules that I didn't particularly care for was having a week ban after your first DNF/WD after completing two rounds. Life does happen, and over the course of a full season I would think giving people the benefit of the doubt for one week would be okay. After your second DNF/WD yes, go ahead and give them time off, but once per season seems like something that could be overlooked.
I am all for the part of the rule that encourages people to finish or don't start at all, just to be clear.

I'm sure the moment I start saying, "About time" I'll get hit with my first. Karma's a biatch. Fair point, but we have enough knowledge about the swing and increased likelihood of getting pulled that the benefit of the doubt is gone. Gone. Similar to a medium player’s chances of contending while standing on the first tee. Everyone knows why he was pulled, and he’s the “#1” player in the world. We’ve all seen the videos. It’s a different game.

How many birdies on this pin? This is a pretty complicated setup although done very quickly. This pin with that wind is tough for sure. That little curl in the backswing is my current struggle. Something about holding the stick differently to not flick is causing that curl but I'm coming for you up there.
Just missed out on a top 10 this week after a horrid round 1 and 4, but 2 and 3 were fire.

As for the backswing curl throwing off the accuracy, welcome to life of the medium player.
