Here i am  The only problem.. is impossible to make a standing..or a list of songs. Luckily..they are simply too much. I always found something good in almost every genre. And there is always a moment..a feeling..a situation..in which some music is exactly what you need. And it suits you like a glove. About post punk and new wave..is a music that is really important in my life. Bauhaus, Magazine, Stranglers, Joy Division, the first Cure..but is a really, really long list. And Golden Brown by the Stranglers is probably the best song ever written about Heroin (slightly after the one made by the Velvet Underground, obviously). But my favorite song of them, probably is still Get a Grip on Yourself. On these last years, probably the music that fits better with my needs is the desert rock (kyuss, desert sessions, monster magnet, etc..). And, as direct consequence, the Queens of the Stone Age. Then there are those crazy, magic guys like Primus, almost every psychobilly band..and everything in which is involved Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom..but like Les Claypool, is a man who did and does a lot of things. He did also the soundtrack of some movie, like Crank 2, for example. He is my god. Or one of them), that fits simply always. And in all this, I still said..nothing Music is..simply everything. (being aware that I could talk no stop for months, if not years, about this, just some day ago I started a personal "blog" on my career log. I was thinking about the chance to start it here, but I feared to be too much invasive. Too much to say..to ear..and I wanted also to explain why, how, when and how much a certain group impacted on my life,so..but I'll be happy to talk about music even here. It would be great to find and discover new stuff!) |
