A lot! (but, actually, only if I need to feed someone else. If I am alone, I could eat nothing but sandwiches for all my life). Am I who cook regularly for friends..or for every girl I ever had beside me..or for my daughter. Is something I really like to do. Is art, when you are good enough doing it. I had also a great master (my mother and both grandmas)..and my specialties are all the most important Mediterranean foods (that are a lot). But, main difference with every other Sicilian/Italian people, I don't like so much pasta. I cook it only if there is a very special sausage. I prefer meat. In every form.

There is a difference between Italian and Sicilian for sure! Both are fantastic and both are why I’m a wee bit overweight lol

There is a difference between Italian and Sicilian for sure! Both are fantastic and both are why I’m a wee bit overweight lol I think that, about food, every italian region can play some good card. It would be hard to make some kind of standing. I had the great luck to raise in a family really open about food. I appreciate almost every nuance of the Italian food. In the same Sicily, there are different foods typical for different zones (it depends if they are place near to the sea or in the middle of the Sicily). For example, i raised in an internal zone..so there, is the meat, the real specialty. Palermo is famous for the "dirt" food. Intestines, stomach, brain, all the interiors you can imagine. It can sounds not so good..but i swear, probably is the best possible food you could ever eat, when you are drinking wine with the intention to get drunk Anyway..if someone want to know some method to prepare some kind of pasta or something typical of Italy, I would be happy to share what I know. (carbonara for example is one of my favorite ever)

I cook a lot. In fact I cook all of the meals at home. My KitchenAid works overtime on some days. I have an app called Paprika that I'm compiling my recipe favs into, a lot easier than having physical index cards. I'm very much a comfort food/home cook like you'd see on MasterChef even though I do have some culinary background. My fav thing I make is a Cheez-It Fried Chicken or Pork chops. I simply replace flour with pummeled Cheez-Its instead and some seasonings per my taste. Sometimes add some crushed corn flakes for extra crunch. Served with some oven-baked mac & cheese and a veggie, then get ready for the food coma Last night I made some mini-burritos with sides of refried beans and Mexican rice (not Spanish, there is a difference).
