My tour version of Colonial will be ready for release this week and I'm contemplating what project to take on next. I'm going to limit myself to RCR/Lidar courses just because that's what I'm most interested in. I'm especially interested in lesser known courses that have hosted a major at some point in time, but am also considering a couple of others . With that being said, here's a list of possible projects I'm pondering (in no particular order):
Myopia Hunt, South Hamilton, MA: site of 4 US Opens from 1898-1908
Northwood Club, Dallas, TX: 1952 US Open
Donald Ross Course at French Lick, French Lick, IN: 1924 PGA Championship
Cedar Crest Golf Course, Dallas, TX: 1927 PGA Championship
Dallas Athletic Club, Dallas, TX: 1963 PGA Championship
Victoria National, Newburgh, IN: 2019 Korn Ferry Tour Championship TPC Craig Ranch, McKinney, TX: 2012 Web.com Tour Championship
One other course that intrigues me and I would like to do eventually is Trophy Club Country Club, which is the only course ever designed by Ben Hogan. It's here in the Dallas area where I live and I'm hoping to play it soon.
If anyone has any feedback or suggestions, please let me know. Thank you.

Sweet! The tournament version is gonna look pretty awesome with all the grandstands. Thanks for doing this second version, the course deserves it.
Of the courses you've listed, I'd probably like to see Victoria National the most- I watched a little bit of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship and man does that course look hard! It's also ranked inside the top 100 courses in America by Golf Digest, which is also pretty neat. Regardless, it's your decision and I'd honestly love to see every single one of those courses to be made! Thanks again.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Donald Ross Course. First of all, I already started a version of it before taking on Colonial, but now that I have basically finished that project, I realize how bad my original version was, so I redid the OSM mapping over the weekend and it looks a lot better. Second of all, I got to play the Ross Course during my visit back in June and it's pretty fresh in my mind, especially because I took a lot of pics during the round. After playing Shinnecock Hills in TGC 2019 and seeing how that course used the theme and planting, I can visualize how I want to see the Ross Course look now and I'd like to see it through to completion. On the other hand Victoria National looks fantastic and I would love to take a shot at trying to replicate the look and feel of the course. Both Victoria and the Ross Course are a fairly short distance from where I grew up in Southern Indiana and I'd love to do something from my home state. The interesting thing is that I already have mapped, downloaded the Lidar and created every one of the courses on my list with Chad's tool, so I have a good start regardless of which one I pick. Aside from Myopia Hunt, which is a classic US Open venue in Massachusetts, the other courses are within a short distance from where I live now, so I have relatively easy access to any of them for reference purposes, especially TPC Craig Ranch, which is actually in the neighborhood where I live now. I'm going to think about it the rest of the week and decide this weekend so I can get to work. Thanks again for the input.

Being an admin on a RCR only society, I'm pleased to see someone dedicating themselves to RCRs I don't know the courses you've listed, but love the idea of doing lesser known prestigious courses 👍 Have you come across ezzino's RCR list, and he also did an RCR not yet done list? Sounds like you already have a clear idea what you want to do, but there may also be some in there that pique your interest...

Just pick the course excites you the most. Considering how good your work on Colonial, we'll be happy in any case (anyway..your list is gorgeous. Probably Myopia is the most famous, but the others deserves any kind of attention and love. Just select your preferred to build and play. It will be great)

I look at it again before I decide, but I want to start a new course this weekend. Thanks for the input.

I'm going to decide this weekend which direction I want to go. I learned a lot by doing Colonial and am ready for the next challenge.
