Fast tracked to CC-D, courses harder at this level? Not particularly. Difficulty tends to vary from week to week and course to course. If you play well in D you'll score well, same as you would E.

I just shot -42 at Amaroo Bay, hopefully get rid of my other demotion mark now. Very good shootin'. Any chance I had of posting a score like that was pretty much gone after my R1 -3. Managed to bounce back OK tho with rounds of -10/-8/-12 respectively. So hoping my -33 total is good enough for a top 100 finish and no damage this time. The 10th cost me, two pars a bogey and a triple bogey.

After getting a promo mark last week, I started the tourney taking a double on hole 1 after pushing my tee shot into the sand with the aid of a 13 mph wind, then getting nailed by back-to-back slow tempo swings...and it just never got rolling from there...birdie...bogey...repeat the pattern a couple times...and I finished with that +2 on the board. Lovely. R2 saw a bogey again on the opening hole, a couple missed early 12-15 foot birdie putts...and then, suddenly, it all just clicked and I finished the round at -10.
So I am sitting here at -8 midway through the tournament and am playing just some downright bipolar golf on this course. Obviously it isn't going to be a GREAT week, but I'm hoping to pull it back to at least a modestly not-bad one.

Wow, I found this week to be pretty challenging, but the course was beautiful. I just didn't make enough putts to contend, and my first three rounds were just average.
-7, -9, -8, -12 = -36 total
Should be good for a top 40 I suspect, but won't pick up much ground on the money list chase.
On to next week!

Bi-polar golf continued with +1 in R3 and -4 in R4, bringing me in at -11. Not sure if the last day will save me from a third mark not. Wasn't a huge fan of the course...too many places where off by inches makes a difference between ok and absolute disaster. Heavy wind from the wrong direction and I'm not even sure it would be playable with some of those forced carries.

-20 after 2 rounds at Kallen.
Would have been better but for a 4 putt DB in R2 on the par 3 17th after a very good approach. If you go past the hole there, be careful with the pace of your putt coming back is all I'll say. This was a lapse from me as didnt pay enough attention to what was happening after the hole. I overhit my 12 or so footer slightly and went all the way down to the front of the green. My monster return putt came up a little short and came back to my feet. Oh dear.
Course plays well and fair all the same, presents a nice little challenge and is certainly scorable if you play well, and at times, smart.

First two rounds in the books and it's been a struggle. Was -8 thru the first 8 holes of the tournament and am only -13 thru two rounds. Will have to play much better over the next two rounds.

In the clubhouse at -42.
Time to sit back and wait to see if that's good enough for a promotion mark.

Probably my best tournament to date. Finished -43 for the tournament with a -14 in round 2.
