I've recently bought TGC with a Skytrak and I'm having a go at trying to design my home course. 2 questions for some designers
1. Have they sorted out not being able to have water at different elevations? It seems wrong to only be able to place water by using the flatten tool below the water table.
2. Is it worth the money to upgrade to TGC 2019
Thanks

Such as, they have to be level, you can't have them flow downhill. They also eat up a ton of object meter. There's also some work arounds and stuff you have to do with waterfalls and black holes (you'll see). It's worth the upgrade, from what i understand, it's come down in price. And the designer, despite its flaws, has come a long way.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
When you say they water can be placed at any elevation do you mean in TGC 2019 or in the original GC? I have the original one installed but I can't find anything on how to place water other than using the flatten/raise tool below the water table.
Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question or one that's already been answered, it's not the easiest system to find your way around.
Thanks

It's not available in the first game. (TGC2019 is the 3rd installment.)

Step 1 buy TGC 2019 Step 2 watch crazy Canuck 1985’s YouTube tutorials on the designer
The designer is definitely a slow learning process. The tutorials help tremendously. Glad you found the game, good luck!

Glad you found the game, good luck! Just curious. When I looked for crazy canuck 1985's tutorial, it looks like it was published in 2015. Will his video still be relevant if it's prior to Chad creating his tool? I appreciate the help.

His most recent tutorials were in 2018 at the start of TGC2019. He has two playlists on his youtube page Course Design 101 and Course design 201.
If by Chad's tool you mean the LiDAR stuff, then no, these tutorials have nothing to do with LiDAR. They are just general tips for course creation. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this stuff with Chad's tool. I can't imagine trying without it. Thanks, though
