Since I spent the entire season in Web.com without any promotions or demotions, I went into the Web Society on PS4 and geeked thru all of my stats for the season.

I'll be focusing on some in-round goals for each round of every tourney. These goals are meant to help in being patient and aware of the shot in front of me. This should lead to lower scores and better finishes.
1. Clean card. An obvious one but #2 is inherently tied to it. 2. It is imperative that I do NOT bogie Par 3's. Considering some of the lengths, bunkers and pin placements we see on tour, par or better is the goal on these. 3. Birdie the Par 5's. Getting par is like a bogie on Par 5s imo. Need to score on these holes. 4. Birdie the first hole of each round. It always builds confidence to start a round with a birdie. It may sound like a given, we want to birdie every hole. This is meant to get me focused at the first tee. 5. Make the Cut.
I'll update how this is going statistically every few tourneys.

I added "Make the Cut", another given but it needs to be there. It's a weekly goal and there's no winning if there's no cut making After the first 6 events on Korn Ferry, here is where I am statistically on those weekly goals: ****** 6 Events ******* Clean Card > 5 of 20 = 25%Birdie Hole One > 9 of 20 = 45%Par 3's Par or better > 71 of 78 = 91%Par 5's Birdie or better > 60 of 76 = 79% Make Cut > 4 of 6 = 67%A lot of improvement to be had here. I would to get all of these over 90%. Right now, only the Par 3 goal is making the grade. Most concerning is the Clean Card stat. A lot of lost strokes there that could have helped. I do have 3 of 4 clean card rounds this week as I'm presently sitting in T 7th place after 3 rounds. But I had a crappy final round of -3. That might push me out of the Top 25.

Updating after Week 7 stats coming in:

To put some understanding in the spreadsheet above and how it helps me understand where I need to improve and where I lost strokes, I can use the latest Week 7 as an example. First, Clean Card. I had 3 of 4 clean card rounds. the one round that was not had one bogey. So that is one lost stroke if we always assume par. Second, Birdie or better the first hole. Only managed to do this once out of four attempts. That's 3 lost strokes. Now I'm at 4 lost. Third, Par 3's Par or better. This was nice, hitting 15 of 16. But still missed one, so we add another lost stroke. That brings me to 5 lost. Par 5 Birdie or better. Only got 11 of 16, that's another 5 lost strokes on the Par 5's. So we're at a total of 10 lost strokes by not meeting our round goals each day. That 10 strokes is the difference between 26th place and T-3rd place atm. We'll see if we can improve on this in Week 8. Yes, it's the little things!

Didn't improve much as I ended up losing 9 strokes this week by not meeting the round goals. Four bogies, all on Par 4's, did not help the cause. It was the difference between finishing 45th and 14th.
SMH.
As usual, we'll try to do better in the next one.
