Week 6: Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals weirsy2003 LEFTY79First time under the lights of live play, the Seattle defense made things very hard on Joe Sheisty and the Bengal O, keeping Joe’s crew out of the end zone, and forcing two crucial turnovers in the first half. Geno Smith managed to orchestrate two first half touchdown drives, and things looked grim for the home town stripers. But…football is a game of two halves, and on any given Sunday… Burrow took the helm and like a master conductor, ran off consecutive TD drives to open the third quarter, and just like that, Seattle was still comfortably ahead. After what appeared to be a devastating pick-six early in the fourth, Burrow rallied the troops, made a desperation drive late and tied the game. Seattle successfully managed to get into position to kick the game winning field goal, but defensive lineman Sam Hubbard blasted through the line and blocked the kick. Hubbard then scooped up the ball and ran it back 70 yards as time expired to give the Bengals the miracle come back win. Final score: Cincinnati 26 Seattle 19 Great game, Chris! First time playing live seemed to even the field a bit, but I fully expected you to run away with this one. Best of luck the rest of the season! Nice write up Mark. Definitely felt out of my element playing live but had a good time. Definitely going to make an effort to play more live matches. Gotta figure out how to remain focused while still being social though or I’m going to have to steal your username. 19 points doesn’t beat anyone handicap or not.

NFL WEEK 6 LEFTY79 Tombanator NE Pat Vs Las Vegas Raiders Nice course tricky in spots but overall a great choice Tomi Love your player outfit and hair Thank you, appreciate the comments on the style! It has kinda been my thing for as long as I can remember at this point, I'll always try to style myself out that way as soon as I possibly can! Wish I could take credit for course choice but it was chosen by the one that's missing out there somewhere and that's Pen, I just inherited the course and I didn't feel like changing it because it takes some effort and I had such little time to do it. Good game, good win!

KC Chiefs @scottsdale vs Chargers, week 7 8 birdies and a par… probably one of my best rounds ever, just missing an eagle. Of course, back 9 were the usual regression to the mean

LEFTY79NFL Week 7 Jaguars vs Saints The Jags packed up the plane and took off to New Orleans in a battle below sea level. The team started off well in this one and came out hot for the first time in weeks playing a clean, penalty free half. At the end of the opening half however the game took a turn for the worse when an overly aggressive call by Coach Bing cost the team dearly. Deciding to take a huge risk and go for 4th and 1 on their own 25 yard line, the exchange between Lawrence and Etienne was fumbled and New Orleans was in with the scoop and score (it was a driveable par 4, how could I not? 😂). The home crowd erupted and any chance of the Jags pulling off the upset on the road was gone with that as the deflated offense struggled to get anything going in the second half. Asked in his post game press conference why he made that call Coach Bing had this to say: “Look, it’s easy to look back on what happened with a critical eye. We had the momentum, we were playing well, and had we executed, likely would’ve won the game. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen for us today and we’ll be a little more sensible about game situations next time but we’ll get back at it next week”.
