NFL Week 6 Colts @ Jaguars Having to reschedule this round to Thursday Night Football due to a family vacation the Jags were weary as they took the field at home after two weeks in London. After the high of pulling off the stunning upset last week, the Jags came out flat in front of the home crowd. The Jekyl and Hyde season continued as the offense struggled to get anything going against the stout Colts defense. The pressure got to Lawrence on nearly every down forcing an intentional grounding penalty on the second possession when the ball was quickly thrown away into the bench where it knocked over a water cooler. And interception to end the half put the capper on a dreadful performance and the boos rained down on the team as they ran to the tunnel. For the third game in a row Coach Bing tried to rally the troops with an inspiring halftime speech and it appeared to once again work as the Jags started off well in the second half. However an errant snap left the team scrambling to recover and they were forced to punt. The team bounced back though and the rally was on. The team needed a Hail Mary but the pass was batted down, squashing any hopes of pulling off the comeback

Week 6 Ravens @ TitansTitans played pretty well but the failed Hail Mary attempts will cost them dear. Recording of round will be on Discord.

NFL COMPETITION COMMITTEE UPDATE
Week 7 is going to be a trial run for new WGR-based handicap tiers and a tweaked scoring system. I’ve heard all of your excellent feedback and I made some changes. First, aces, albatrosses, and condors (!) will be worth more points effective immediately (6, 7, and 8 respectively). Next, while they may go over like a fart in church, I am adding penalties as they are a gamechanger in the NFL. I’ve always wanted to find a way to incorporate them into the league. I figure if hockey can have empty net goals, fights, power plays, and whatnot that the NFL needs to keep innovating. It should be more stressful to get 30 points and I think it’s just a tad on the easier side for the top players with the 2-point conversion added. Again, the major changes (penalties, tiers) do not go into effect until WEEK 7. The scoring changes will begin retroactive to this week.

KC Chiefs vs Broncos Horrific second half with back to back interceptions and fumbles. Not a bad first half score, but would deserve a L this week.

Week 6: Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals weirsy2003 LEFTY79First time under the lights of live play, the Seattle defense made things very hard on Joe Sheisty and the Bengal O, keeping Joe’s crew out of the end zone, and forcing two crucial turnovers in the first half. Geno Smith managed to orchestrate two first half touchdown drives, and things looked grim for the home town stripers. But…football is a game of two halves, and on any given Sunday… Burrow took the helm and like a master conductor, ran off consecutive TD drives to open the third quarter, and just like that, Seattle was still comfortably ahead. After what appeared to be a devastating pick-six early in the fourth, Burrow rallied the troops, made a desperation drive late and tied the game. Seattle successfully managed to get into position to kick the game winning field goal, but defensive lineman Sam Hubbard blasted through the line and blocked the kick. Hubbard then scooped up the ball and ran it back 70 yards as time expired to give the Bengals the miracle come back win. Final score: Cincinnati 26 Seattle 19 Great game, Chris! First time playing live seemed to even the field a bit, but I fully expected you to run away with this one. Best of luck the rest of the season!
