This course is extreme, fantasy style golf in a traditional, somewhat natural setting that doesn't feel forced or imposed onto the landscape (I'm not sure it would be walkable/maintainable - but that clearly was never the goal). Combining the altitude changes with the bold greens contouring and high wind is probably too much of a challenge for many, namely myself. However the course generally doesn't overstep the mark in regards to difficulty (although a near 600 yard par 4 finisher perhaps does). I respect the decision to be near the water but not relying on it to create dramatic scenes. The 11th was my pick for best hole.

That finishing hole was supposed to end on a par 5, that’s a mistake on me for not checking. I had that problem on an earlier course I did, I thought I learned my lesson. But on this course, I was trying to blend fantasy and realism to certain extent. Issues like course maintenance, cart paths, bridges, things that would be found on a course, was and is not the focus of these designs. I do have a couple going now that are realistic and no shred of fantasy to them. One with a lot of water, so bridges will be visible. I do have another fantasy/realistic course that I’m just starting to lay out. I think they are fun to design and can make for an entertaining experience. Thank you for your input, it is always appreciated and I want to become better at designing so I can contribute back to the community.
