Anybody else on here a club member in real life? I have just started to cut down a bit on TGC and spend more time out there on the real course to prepare for my season. Been trying to get at least 72 holes a week in and a few hours on the practice area at my home course, hoping to get my handicap down to at 6 this season as well as defending the Club Championship for a third straight season. Would like to hear other people's targets for this year and how you well your'e playing.

Seeing as though I live in the Cleveland area my club wont be open for another month or so weather permitting. I am currently a 6 and hoping to get down to a 4. Then again club handicap is always different than an actual handicap so i plan to play more courses than just at my club to get that handicap down. This will be my first full year at the club so I am looking forward to a full golf season.

It's -20 degrees and I haven't seen grass in 3+ months here. Gonna be about another month and half before I can get out there.. Luckily there is an indoor driving range to keep it somewhat fresh. I'm not in a club and am pretty bad. I just hope to break 100 this season.

I'm on the Gold Coast in Australia and I'm a member at 2 courses in the area. Both owned by the same person so joint membership. Palmer Gold Coast and Palmer Colonial they are. I play once a week sometimes 2 when the going is good. Although I haven't had a bit this yr yet. Been busy with work so far as got staff off at the moment and that is cutting into my days off aswell and with a wife and 2 kids aged 2&3 and a half my spare time has not been where it normally is. I'm a 14 handicap ATM which is pretty ordinary considering I have shot -1 around Palmer Gold Coast as my lowest round. Had a one bogey and a double to go with 4 birdies that day. My aim this yr is to get to single figures which I believe I can if I play once a week and practice 3 times a week. Love the game tho and the feeling of tournament day is the same on this as in RL I feel.

You must get bad weather were you are then lol worse than England by the sounds of it, and that takes some doing.

I head to Myrtle beach in 10 days for 10 days. 10 days of 36 a day. Back from that for 2 weeks then off to Roatan for a week where I will be smacking the ball around the Pete Dye Pristine Bay Resort for a few rounds. I'm hoping my club will be open for business when I get back or shortly thereafter at worse. I usually spend the winter golf shopping and there's always my yearly jaunt to down Myrtle beach.
I have had my handicap down to a 7, been second twice in the club championship, but it's far to much work for me to keep my handicap down. I'm a low teen handicap, always have been, however if I work hard I can get it lower, but I just cannot gather up the dedication required to keep the handicap that low.
Its far more fun to just to show up, hit a few putts, take a few swigs, have a few puffs and hit the first tee and just play the quarter a hole with the guys through the week when I can, and play our club skins game every weekend. I retire (early) in 2 years and I will put more effort into a better golf game then, but for now, I just want to have fun.

Im up in west Yorkshire. Play at Keighley GC. Not that good I'm afraid, 27 going on 28. Have been recovering from major surgery in october, so I've only played 3 x 9 hole rounds in 5 month. Can't wait for the summer

I'm in Toronto, Canada. Right now it's looking like golf season is a mid-April start at the very earliest. However, I am off to Myrtle Beach at the end of March for the annual buddy trip.
So, it's soon. Not soon enough, but soon-ish.
This season's goal is to get the index down to 4, and shoot an under par round. Finished the season at 7.2, and was as low as 6 last year.

I'm still waiting for the snow to dissapear. But as soon as that happens, I'll be back on my home course. Wanna get my handicap below/around 15.0 this season (sitting at 18.5 at the moment)...

Its been a super mild winter here (Wichita, KS) and I have played a ton. Handicap is about 4. Was playing very good but now keep getting my driver & 3 wood stuck behind me and its either a hook into the left rough, a straight shot down the middle, or a push right. And any of the 3 can happen at any time. Very frustrated. Any drills?
Its going to be cold here for the next 5 days so the time off will probably do me some good.

In 2 months I guess my homecourse is going to start thinking about opening. But if I drive about 90 minutes south, I can play ok courses, so its not to bad. Going on a trip to Portugal next week to play 7-8 rounds and get ready for the season!! Btw, this is my homecourse, ranked #1 in norway, top 100 in Europe: Miklagard Golf
