Just wanted to thank you for playing my course in your event, hope you enjoyed it (and no livers were damaged)! Cheers, Always a fan of your courses. This one sets up really interesting for the beginners clubs. The way the par 5s stack on the front really set the tone for the round. I cant figure out the greens at all.. not a problem I have a lot. Gonna try to pull the carpet out here on the weekend. I know this course can be tamed, but so far I'm the one stumbling.

well -37 all up this week pretty unimpressed overall 1st 2 rounds just didn't play well enough, last 2 rounds played 10x better yet scored 10x worse go figure. I guess I'm just feeling a little frustrated having not shot better in the last tournament for year. I'll say this though that -52 is looking pretty strong yaters well done buddy.

I really feel like with the greens being the way they are, every foot closer to the hole your approach is makes the difference. Too bad we pretty much always have a 5i or longer in our hands. Trying to judge a 15 yard rollout on a rollercoaster..Very difficult setup. And then you've got multiple pins with a downslope coming in.. I'm thinking I dont think this pin was designed with a 6iron approach in mind.. and of course it wasn't. But we are all faced with the same scenarios and this is a tough one

I had a really good round 3 (-16) but I came limping in at the end with a big pile of doo-doo. Darryl is right on my tail and will navigate those fourth round pins way better than I did. The approaches were tough on this course and in that last round I couldn't get inside 10 feet much, and when I did, I was on the worst side of the hole, leaving me with huge side-winder putts that I couldn't judge well. I'd be happy with a top 5 to close out the year though!

Also, as WhaleCatDog mentioned, the 3 par 5's in a row were great. I loved it. But he's right, it really sets the tone early. If you can play those in -3, that's fine, but better is certainly there for the taking.

I love the anticipation of maybe reaching in 2 and maybe getting an eagle. But even if that wasn't possible, was really important to wedge/pitch in close and walk away with at least -3 on that stretch.

Catdog almost didnt finish the event this week, his game is just not all there right now. But the new bct rankings have convinced him to try to extract whatever value he can from the final event of the season. With a ridiculous goal of -15, he takes to the course for moving day. Needing to make up 5 strokes to a man who shoots -16 on 'Saturday' is a daunting task indeed. Unaccustomed to missing putts on the low side of the hole, he just cant believe how these greens are breaking!! However he did manage to match the -16 to hold the deficit to 5 shots; now needing a measly 14 under with a good run at the end to have a chance at count back. This seems possible, but the word of the winds and nasty putts in round 4 have him questioning the plausibility of making up 5 shots in those conditions. Perhaps the PGA experience will pay off. Coming off of a great round 3, there is no need to delay. It's now or never. Let's get it done

Off to a good start in rd 4, 4 consecutive pars would leave him at -4 on the 9th tee. The realization that he will need to birdie out from here set in and he took a moment to regroup, finding solace in the fact that if successful he would certainly win the countback.
Time to press on

The 9th would be the beginning of the most aggressive golfing I've ever attempted. Well judged approaches were leaving tap ins repeatedly, and I felt invincible. I thought I had a chance again, until I saw hole 16. I died inside a little looking at this pin on a downslope, guarded deviously by a yellow slope that all but ensured a tap in wouldn't be a possibility. With no good spot to leave it for a putt either, there was only 1 option. Hole it out. And I did. And with that suddenly I had a chance to win outright. Let me tell you, I've never once felt nerves playing on tgct, until I stood over this putt on 18, tied with yaters, unsure if he had birdied 18. It was an extremely epic finish. A little unlucky for Yaters because if 16 isn't eagled it's pretty much a par. Turns out rd 4 would have made for good TV!
