NOTE: Please do not post on rounds that have not been revealed on the leaderboard. Moderating is in effect and they will be removed. Please use the Locker Room threads to discuss rounds not revealed. Thanks! The Press Tent will be a feature on TGC Tours where you can come in after a round or tournament and answer some questions from the press. You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Reminder: Please include your leaderboard name in your post or in the Tour Name portion of your forum profile so that our reporters can make the connection between your Press Tent posts and your leaderboard names. Thx! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
- Ask your own question and answer it!

What was the highlight of your round/tournament? The best part for me was just being able to go out there and compete and play with the best players the world has to offer.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament? Well I started off hole 1 of the first round with a bogey which I think I can attribute to my nerves of playing on the PGA Tour for the first time. I settled down and shot par the next 4 holes before getting my first PGA Birdie. From then on I got 3 more with bogey free golf for day one. I was really pleased with -3 after my first round, unfortunately I went out the next day and erased all that work with a +3. I can't blame the nerves on day 2, just wasn't hitting my shots.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? Well I didn't fare great. I ended up at even which was disappointing for me. I at least wanted to end up under par in my first PGA event. I had a 35 footer from the fringe stop just shy on 18 to keep me at even, but like I said I was just honored and happy to be able to play on the tour this week and definitely look forward to getting back one day. It was important to get some experience under my belt.
What was this experience like being your first PGA event? Well it's a big step up. Not just competition wise, but everything. I was one of the earliest guys to head out for my rounds and just seeing the huge gallery all around the first couple holes was very thrilling and nerve racking. I know they weren't there to watch me and were waiting for the stars to start hitting the tees, but that made no difference to me. Just seeing all the people there watching me hit definitely made it a bit tougher on that first tee. Usually down on the Web.com Tour we have at most half of that, I was scared I'd hit someone they stand so close off the side of the box.. But it was fun, I had a lot of fun and as I said I think this experience will make my next round up here much easier and I can't wait to get back.

Forgive me for breaking rank, but I have something I feel should be said.
The post above is awesome...thank you for taking the time to do so Rythmicslaps! It shows that behind EVERY round there is a story and it is these stories that bring life to this tour. When HBS releases it's career mode you will see that it is you against lifeless AI players with no stories behind the numbers. That is where this website "wins" bigtime...it is a fully evolving "career" mode where anything can happen week to week.
But it works when people take a moment to post stuff like this. It doesn't mean just bragging rights for a low round, it can be just like the example above. Or a great single shot, a run of bogeys, whatever. Or just tell some jokes. There ARE stories and they give life to this tour.
When I consider all the volunteers do behind the scenes to make the cogs turn, posting something here is a wonderful way to give back. I personally enjoy reading these play-by-plays more than anything else on the website, I just wish there were a lot more to read.
/end rant, the roving reporter grabs his mike back and I am led off the course by 2 burley security guards.

We caught up with Jason Rosol, who currently sits a surprising 9th after two rounds at the Honda Classic.
Q. So how did it go out there?
A. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I really struggled in my practice rounds, but for whatever reason once the lights came on I performed. This is basically the complete opposite of every other tournament that I've played in thus far.
Q. Any highlights?
A. The thing that stands out was that I went bogey free these two rounds. I didn't have any eagles either, I just grinded along with 21 birdies.
Q. What is your goal these last two days?
A. Well, the next month is all about doing well enough to qualify for the Masters. Right now my WGR is a measly 140, so I need to get a few top 20's or even better top 10's under my belt to make a charge. This is my best position to date, so I might as well try for a top 10 this week.
Q. Good luck out there.
A. Thanks

Fred Parrow Rnd 1 64 (-8) Rnd 2 60 (-12)
Oh look, it's venerable regular here, Fred Parrow, let's pull him aside again. Yo Freddy!Glad to see my pep talk earlier accomplished much. Oh well, at least this time I have something to say positive about my golf Yes siree, looks you kept your cut streak alive. How did it go down?I started my tourney birdie, birdie and was thinking this was my course. Followed with a double bogey and another bogey on the front had me at -1 at the turn and I was not thinking good thoughts. But I knew I still had 27 holes to play so I did my best to shrug it off and think I could do better. Guess the pep talk helped because I blazed through the rest of round 1 with a -7 backside and shot my personal best at Dewdrop in round 2. You did it 8-12mph winds too, much has been made about waiting for better conditions, you seemed to do better the higher the wind blew.I've started working on my draws and fades rather than just letting the wind take the ball and I seem to be playing it much better. Higher winds seemed to help me on this course as the fairways are conducive to giving you room to play. I hit all my fairways in the second round despite the wind. At 6 shots off the lead and current 12th place do you think can pull off some magic this weekend?I'd love to keep playing like I did and see where it all ends up. If I can keep it up, if anything it's a great confidence booster going into the Cadillac Invitational next week. I need everything going my way against that field of golfers. Good luck and good playing! Thanks guys...oh and tell Sloaner I said "how's it going down there" if you see him.

After the final results from round 2 at The Honda Classic, we had a chance to speak with Canada's Kyle Robertson about his performance thus far...
Kyle, you must be thrilled about making it to the weekend!. Tell us about how you got yourself here?
Well, coming up to play here on my sponsor exemption was something that I was both nervous and excited about. It's a fantastic opportunity to play against the top players in the world. I must admit my nerves were shaking when I stepped on to the 1st tee.
Sitting at -13 through two rounds, and being one of the earliest into the clubhouse, it must have been tense waiting for all the other scores to come in?
Absolutely. I felt like I played decently in the first two rounds. I had a few missed putts on short ones that I'd normally make, and a few errant tee shots that were costly. I try not to make excuses, but I definitely think my nerves got the better of me occasionally. I knew that I would be very close to the cut line, and once I saw that I made the cut, I was absolutely thrilled!
This is only your third event on TGC Tours. What's allowed you to make such quick improvements?
Honestly, just spending time on the range and really working to dial in my putting. After missing the cut in my first event, I knew I just needed to be a bit more consistent. Then I played well enough to earn a sponsor exemption last week, and now I've translated that into earning my PGA card!
Is this week's event going better, worse, or as expected for you so far?
Despite missing some shots I'd normally expect myself to make, I'm incredibly pleased with how things are going! Right from the opening round, the experience has been amazing. The atmosphere up here on the PGA is like nothing I've experienced before. I've had a chance to play against some of the world's best, and I think that's huge in helping me grow as a player. Top all of that off with making the cut and earning my tour card, and I really couldn't ask for much more!
So now that you're officially a PGA Tour member, what do you want to accomplish?
For now, I just want to finish up the weekend with a good score. After that, I want to try and prove my worth and show that I can compete with the best. I'll continue working on my game, and hopefully I might get myself a win someday!
Alright. Thanks Kyle. Good luck out there!
Thanks
