For anyone interested, here's a fun little promo video for Marlette Fells. Enjoy: Even your promoting of the course is better than mine! In all seriousness, really love the look. It's actually kind of what I was going for. But the whole off the course planting is what gets me. I think I did learn from playing some other courses but by that time I was too deep into mine. Do you start with zero trees then plant? A bunch of trees, route, clear, plant?

I always start with loads of autogen trees, cull around the fairways, then pop the 'feature' trees back in. If you multiplant or even single plant every tree on the plot, you tend to run out of plant meter. For this one, I only wanted the tall trunk pine/ponderosas, so I planted those around the whole of the course and then spammed bushes, plants and grasses below them till I got what I liked. Glad you like the look - I knew from my first hole that I loved the textures and waste bunker blend, but it wasn't until about hole four that I was all-in (when I started seeing how different holes fleshed out previous ones) and until six that I properly nailed the planting look I wanted. There were a lot of tough ones to work through and I think I re-did stretch 5-10 about four different times and re-routed the course three times before I was happy. All about trial and error

Shall we get a list together of published courses? I’d like to play them all and don’t want to miss any

Mentioned on the YouTube video, but absolutely loved this. Definitely give the channel a watch guys - it's great to have your course highlighted and you've done a really good job with production and the commentary

Hello society members!
So I'm very excited to bring you guys my design which is close to being complete. (I'll tempt you guys with some pics here soon..)
But! What I'm wondering is for consideration on our designs, of the people who judge the courses what level of clubs do they play with/ what tees? Or is it more up to the designer to make a "recommendation" of what to play and what tees to play from?
Anyways the courses I've seen are looking good, love the creativity.
Thanks!

A recommendation from you is always good. I tend to assume Master clubs from the back tees, but be aware that pro clubs will also play off the back, so any super long carries to the fairway should have that in mind.

So for example, on hole two, masters clubs put you in a much better spot for the landing zone off the tee (up and to the left). However, this review made me realize that the course doesn't necessarily play like I want to if a user uses pro clubs. Par 5's came across as boring IMO because pro clubs don't have the length to get after it in 2. But with master clubs, you would have some decisions to make. So thank you for opening my eyes up to that. Crazy I didn't take that into consideration considering I use pro clubs myself lol.
