Tees: 4 sets ranging from 6300 yards to 7700 yards Par: 72 Greens: Med-Fast (163 ft) Firmness: Med-Firm Greens and Fairway Conditions: Overcast Prevailing Wind: South, but plays well and differently in any wind. Crowds: Light crowds, no tournament objects. Tournament version coming in the future. This course is inspired by the setting of Rock Creek Cattle Company. I highly recommend checking out the flyover videos: www.rockcreekcattlecompany.com/golf/tour-the-course. The name Sunset Ranch is derived from the town in Montana named Sunset, not far from RCCC, and the nearby cattle ranches around the course perimeter. While it's a daunting 7700 yards from the tips, I think you will find that the course plays much shorter than that. There is a lot of room around the course, with an emphasis placed on options of off the tee and proper angle of approach. Many greens feature large backboards and sideboards that can be used to strategically maneuver approach shots near pins. This is my first fictional course in quite awhile, and I've done a good amount of playtesting to ensure it plays well. I am quite happy with the results, and I hope you have as much fun playing it as I have! ![](https://i.postimg.cc/4x91QVC8/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-50-30-52.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/5tmLsmsm/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-51-03-50.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/bNG0qkvz/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-51-28-05.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/vBq9sZFg/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-51-57-18.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/RFVfyn8x/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-52-36-60.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/LsSjkW3X/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-52-47-96.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/xjZHp83B/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-52-59-20.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/90D9FHCx/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-53-22-21.png) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/T1BDKNPT/Desktop-Screenshot-2019-07-26-09-53-45-29.png)

This is an amazing course. Big, bold, beautiful, definitely feels like the golfer is in Montana out in the wild - love the textures and the color pallete he used. The huge fairways give a false impression of simplicity but the challenge lies in the approaches and the undulating greens - low scores are only possible with really well hit approach shots, and I love how in a lot of cases you can roll your ball to the pin if you pay attention to the terrain. Craig proves that he doesn't only do RCR's well here! What a fantastic course. This is going to be played a lot!

Quite happy that your first impression was Montana without knowing that was the inspiration. I also enjoy a good outburst or two after a missed putt. I guess my statement that the course doesn't play that long pertains only to Master clubs. If you play again one tee up, those are all offset at a slightly different angle, so it should be interesting for you (I hope).

A truly fantastic course, long but plays shorter than the distance, wide fairways but not all landing spots equal. Generous greens but precession needed, just a pleasure to play. Hey Craig, remember that time you said I was your favorite scheduler. I remember it well, I can even quote you. “ Yes, you are my favorite damn scheduler, now get off my property before I file for a restraining order”. Well season 6 is not that far away, I’ll tell you what, I’ll call round so we can discuss it.

Great stuff. Hopefully this gets on CC-Pro so I can give it a run in CC-A (Sunset Ranch starts about the 11:00 mark)
