So, first off I would like to say that I greatly appreciate being in the European Tour. I qualified high at Q school but haven't really played well in my first 3 weeks. I think people playing in the Pro Tours (PGA, Euro, Web) should be thankful for where they are by at least playing most of the events.
For example, there are 184 PGA players. During the 3M Open only 114 participated, John Deer Classic only 107 participated, and The Open only 139 played. On Euro there are 251 players. During the Irish Open only 119 played, Scottish Open 155 played, and the Portugal Masters 136 played. I can understand missing a few events because LIFE gets in the way, but maybe if a player misses a percentage of events they should get half or quarter movement mark towards demotion.
Just a thought for next season, and please don't crucify me for this suggestion. I love this game and love what TGC Tours is. I really think everything for the most part is great and flawless on TGC Tours. It just seems wrong for players that are maybe ranked top 100 in the world to be missing so many events. I think in the next couple of years TGC Tours is going to get bigger and bigger, and I want to be a part of it.

Actually this could be a really good point, there's only need to find a fair % of missed rounds to punish who skips too many tournaments.
Furthermore, while we are talking about punishment and rules and respect for the tour and for the other players (and even if i can imagine that my thought will not be really appreciated by the majority), speaking about the cc tour, honestly I wish to see disqualified or punished in some proper way, who switches from master clubs to pro clubs (and vice versa, even I I think it happens less often) in the last two rounds if things are going on the wrong direction. Is disrespectful for the other players in my opinion. If you make a choice, then you must to embrace it, until the end. No matters what. And if things go bad, the only thing to do should be to blame your poor game and to take your medicine. Next time you'll think a bit better about your choice.
This punishment would be fair when someone make the change looking for a promo mark, but also (if not mainly) for who change clubs trying to avoid a demo mark. Cause probably there're a bunch of guys who're using master clubs that will be punished with a demo mark exactly cause they, at some point, refuses the idea to change clubs just to save their a$$es. But if this thing is allowed, then who don't make the change is not an honest guy, is just someone who's not smart enough. Is this fair? This is a game of golf. When you play this game you MUST to act as a gentleman. I know that here almost anyone believes in this ideal. And this situation goes exactly against this. Now that we have the promo mark gained depending on what club are you using, this rule should be really fair, if not obvious. You, as a player, make a free choice at the start of a tournament and then you will be prized or punished, depending on your game's quality after that choice and you must accept it. Always. This is what I think.

What is the reason for penalizing players for not playing? I don't think the number of players on a particular tour prevents anyone from moving up to that tour.
Also, let's say a PGA player sits out for awhile for whatever reason. Do you want that player rejoining TGCT at, say, CC-A? For what purpose?
WGR earned begins to decay, so if you're not playing events, you get penalized that way.
