2d round, still stable play. Lost the ball-striking towards the end but managed to get up and down for the most part. But that 17th hole is a beast! Hopefully I can keep up with hammers1man ... Nice golf there Robert, will be teeing up with your turn based ghost in round 2 😁

Teed up with mcbogga for the second round and the golf we both played didn't disappoint the crowd. Pretty close on the front 9 exchanging birdies on different holes, and neck and neck up till 13. I was -7 after 14 but another poor finish with 3 bogies in the last 4 holes. Shame because my golf was faultless up till then. Really enjoyed the round and upped my game against Robert. My long putting has been on song with 29% after 2 rounds. Highlights Probably my best approach for a long time, this 3 wood over the trees on 12 to 4 foot and an eagle and this tricky 27 foot 1foot downhill putt for birdie.

Crapped the bed. Got to -3 after round 2, but couldn't keep the bogey train off the tracks this week. Finished at E for the event and well down the board by the looks of things. Liked the course and the challenge, so on to next week.

Round 3, front 9 didn't play great including a 3 putt bogey from 7 foot on hole 5 to be E at the turn. Got my game together and played much better on the more difficult back 9 of Oakland Hills with 3 birdies and no bogeys. The birdie on 17 felt good as it is a tricky hole. 67 (-3) leaves me -14 after 3 rounds.

Round 2 (2 birdies, 3 bogeys) +1 Am really really REALLY proud of this round, more so than the under par rounds last week. Felt like I managed the course. Too bad I can't even see mcbogga or hammers1man, they all play a game I can only dream of. Onward!

Round 3 (2 birdies, 3 bogeys, 2 doubles) +5
Had it going till the 8th, have not played that hole well at all. The the back nine was a struggle.
+11 thru 54 holes, not too bad for me.
Onward.

E third round (2 birdies, 2 bogeys) E final round (3 birdies, 3 bogeys)
3 putt pars on at least half the par 5s, and bogeyed the 18th both rounds. Every time I made a birdie, a bogey was looming. So many slopes!
-4 overall (E,-4,E,E)

Course bit back in round four, tough pins and a wee breeze. Four bogies and a birdie for a 73 (+3).Caught out with a few slow downswing tempos which is unusual for me and if I missed the green I seemed to shortside myself big time. My long putting has been great this week, nailed the distance from 30 to 50 foot up on those tricky tiers to leave short par putts every time. -11 and and a tie with colly I'll take that happily.

Just want to say how great the short game feels on USE,I will take that 60 foot putt over a chip or flop now. There is a nice balance that isn't ruined with a loft dialler, feels like the real life short game to me where feel for distance is so important. When I played TST I used to loft those chips up and felt so confident because it is so easy to get up and down, I've heard people say I loft up my chip shot irl but how much can you actually loft up a 60% wedge?. The loft box in this game takes all the skill out of the short game imo, I love the challenge we have here when we miss the green. That challenge here feels like golf I play irl and that's why I chose to carry on this society with the help of Robert, Will, Leon and Al. Love playing in this society no matter the quality of my golf, got a great bunch of sim players here with the same love of the beautiful game as myself.

Played really well after a poor 1st round, off the tee was great 2nd shots to the green not bad but I always seemed to be 30ft from the pin or long and having to chip down a 2 to 3ft slope. Loved the challenge roll on next week
